    Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort welcomes two pets of any size for an additional fee of $100 for one night and $25 for each additional night. Both dogs and cats are allowed. Pets may be left in the room unattended, but housekeeping services will not be provided. Treats, beds, bowls, and waste bags are available. There is a grassy area for pet relief on the property.

    This 32-acre hideaway in the Santa Catalina foothills is part guest ranch part resort and entirely gracious. It is a charming and lower-price alternative to the larger resorts. Designed in classic Mexican hacienda style this former finishing school for girls attracted stars like Clark Gable Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy when it was converted to a guest ranch during World War II. Amenities include a swimming pool and Jacuzzi, 24-hour front desk, laundry service, and meeting rooms. Accommodations range from courtyard guestrooms to private casitas including Casita Grande legend to be Tracy and Hepburns secret hide-a-way. Each one of the thirty guestrooms has been lovingly restored and uniquely decorated by award winning designer Barbara Eckrote. Some of the one- and two-bedroom casitas have fireplaces and private porches where one can watch the sun set over the Tucson Mountains. Each has a queen bed chest of drawers two nightstands a chair and an armoire that hides the TV and mini refrigerator.

      Exceedingly comfortable stay

      We stayed at Hacienda Del Sol 12 years ago with our old retriever. This road trip we arrived with our Spinone puppy and he place has been completely rebuilt with new rooms and suites. We were upgraded to a lovely room with all the old HdS decor and great views across the gardens to the foothills. Enzo was greeted with a dog bed and bowls and clear maps on where to walk around he property. We all had a great nights sleep before heading back out on the road early he next morning! Many thanks to the staff for their hospitality!

      This place is absolutely spectacular. From the service, to the landscape, to the view, I cannot say enough good things about the Hacienda Del Sol. Will absolutely be back to visit.

      Best dog resort ever!!

      Hacienda del Sol doesn’t claim to just like dogs, they walk the talk. Our room included a dog bed! And there were treats for both dogs and humans. Our dogs were welcome in the patio restaurant and all the staff greeted them. Of all the places we have stayed in the world, this ranks in the top 10 AND #1 for including dogs!

      Most Dog Friendly Place Ever

      Took a casita here. It is beyond wonderful. Best dog friendly place I have ever stayed!! Lots of space. A dog bed , treats and a water bowl awaited. Left out 2 collies in the room for an hour when we went to eat on property. On our return they were sound asleep. Quiet and comfortable room was key.
      Casita was warm and welcoming.
      We will be back.

      Beautiful resort!

      We enjoyed our stay, as did our two small dogs.

      The resort provided a good-sized dog bed, bowls, and dog treats.

      We will stay there again!
