Limited area for dog expulsions and exercise. We walked him on U of Arizona campus for over an hour. Hotel noisy on our night, sharing with a high school soccer team. Still, it served the purpose.
- BrandySep. 19, 2021Clean and Safe
I would recommend this hotel as it was easy access to the freeway, clean, updated, well lit, safe, and the staff is friendly. The only downfall is that there isn’t any grass or turf. My lab didn’t want to pee on the rocks. There is a dirt field off to the side of the hotel that worked out well. I would stay here again. Gas station, restaurants and a Starbucks close by as well.
- YvonneSep. 8, 2021Dog friendly Rooms have carpets
We’d made reservations and the room we were assigned literally smelled like a urinal. The room was so bad we refused to take our 6 month old in it. Where could we put him down. We couldn’t even lay a blanket on the carpet so he could crawl for fear that it would soil with urine or our clothes would begin to absorb the smell in our suitcases. They said they were sold out and tried to “freshen” the room but the room was carpeted and even after they tried spritzing it and airing it out it did not get any better. During these covid times our family opted to not fly feeling driving to travel was the saver choice but this hotel made us feel we made the wrong decision. We waited in the lobby since we were limiting exposure to other public places and decided to not sit in the car after a 10 hour drive with a baby for another room to be cleaned bypassing the 24 hour wait until they reoccupy any room after sanitization rule. PS: when I left to walk the dog about 10PM the person at the front desk still appeared to be trying to get that same room “cleaned.” Dear Management: pls remove carpet from dog friendly rooms so that they can be cleaned thoroughly prior next occupancy in the event that some dogs or owners have accidents.
- SarahJun. 26, 2021Great stay!
Clean, comfortable, great for our pets and easy to check in and out!
- GuyDec. 31, 2020Good location / convenient
Right next to Cracker Barrel
- DebraDec. 21, 2020Great location.
Pleasant staff. Clean room/ nice amenities. Air unit a little dated but functional. Bathroom a little dated but functional. Good area for walking. We would stay here again.
- RobertOct. 10, 2020Decent place
No dog walk really. Lots of open dirt where Semi trucks can park behind the hotel. Was there during Covid so amenities were shut down. Staff was nice.
- ElizabethApr. 6, 2020Great stay
Friendly staff, easy check in, no trouble with pets, very nice rooms
- BeckieMar. 30, 2020Perfect
This place was clean and the staff was great! We were so disappointed there was no continental breakfast due to the Coronavirus, but they had really great breakfast bags for us when we checked out! It was a pleasant surprise. We’d definitely stay here again! 🐾🐾
- MarionFeb. 23, 2020Good location
Plenty of space to walk your dog. Big flat field next to the hotel. Staff was eager to please. Would definitely stay there again but in a room not near the lobby, elevator & ice machine. Room is not adequately lit.
- KarenJan. 5, 2020Great hotel for pet owners
I was surprised on how clean the hotel was. Very pleasant personnel too! Breakfast is also great!
- DanielleJan. 3, 2020Great location, friendly staff
Would highly recommend staying here! Great location off of I 10, lots of restaurants near by. A lot of dirt for walking the dogs. the guest staff in the morning and evening were extremely friendly and dog building. I am on my way back on a California to Georgia trip and hands down this hotel has been the best!
- CarolDec. 7, 2019Room worked great.
Room comfortable. Happy to find a hotel that is happy to have my dogs. The girls at the front desk were very nice and helpful. Would stay again.
- PollyNov. 30, 2019Great hotel
Great place for us to stop for the night with our two dogs. Loved that there isn't a pet fee!!! Rooms are very comfy.
- CarolNov. 22, 2019Right Off highway 10
Pros: A clean room, very welcoming maids, quick drive to Mt. Lemmon, and walking distance to restaurants.
Cons: Very slow WiFi and so-so breakfast experience. - KathrynNov. 15, 2019Great location
Love this place. Very clean and dig friendly. Newly remodeled.
- RonOct. 14, 2019nice hotel
very pet friendly
- CraigSep. 29, 2019Great stay!
Stayed here on our trip from Texas to California. It was so nice, we stayed here again on the way home!
- AlyssaSep. 7, 2019Alright
The area was nice and the rooms were decent. Safe place to park, we were hauling a uhaul and had a nice lit area that felt safe. Aside from that, absolutely no place to take the dogs to use the restroom and no grass anywhere which made it difficult. The rooms are also carpet which we weren’t too crazy about. All in all, it was okay.
- TamaraAug. 20, 2019Clean and spacious rooms!
We stayed one night in a king bed room and had plenty of space for our dog and cat to stretch out overnight after traveling all day. The room was very clean and the air conditioner worked great! There was plenty of parking, but we did not find a grassy area for our dog. She did fine doing her business in the dirt though. I would definitely recommend!
- NataliMar. 8, 2019Very Friendly Enjoyable Stay
Very convenient location, lots of space for walking. The room was very cozy so my husband, german shepherd and I had a great night of rest. Breakfast was good and I enjoyed the double shower head.
- CrystalFeb. 26, 2019Great Dane Friendly
Just checked in. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room cleaner than average. Updated room with lots of walking around for the Dane.
- EileenMore than a year agoGreat Place to Stay
This La Quinta was recently renovated. The rooms were very clean, modern and comfortable. Easy access to Int 10. Great breakfast including eggs and bacon. The only drawback was the lack of grass for the pooch. If your dog likes grass to do his business, you are out of luck. Lots of stone and dusty dirt to walk on though. In spite of this, I would definitely stay here again.
