Made reservations because they are dog friendly. Not really. Dog tolerant is more like it. Supposed to have free shuttle to hotel. We called from the pier after sailing to Catalina on our boat. Was told that shuttle only picks up from two places and the pier isn’t one of them. Lady at the desk was borderline rude! Shuttle driver was helpful when we finally connected. Room was okay, but no hot water in the sink. Shower was hot however. Reported water problem to front desk. Was told someone would address the issue while we were at dinner. Came back but still no hot water. So far am not impressed with this property.

Facility was great, clean and beautiful. The only thing I felt missing was the staff on front desk, no to friendly and always in a bad mood. However drivers on shuttle were great, gave us a lot of tips and information to have an excellent time over there. High recommendation for this hotel.

While the hotel isn't bad the fee PER DOG is high. I even called in advance to see if they would make it a flat $75.00. While the manager agreed over the phone it was declined at check in.
When I complained at check out the manager left me a nasty message that even included a claim they only accept ONE dog.
Too bad because the hotel isn't bad and the restaurant, that also takes dogs, can be a lot of fun. - JenniferFeb 18, 2020Dog friendly
The hotel let my dog go everywhere on the property. They also let him ride in the courtesy shuttle many times. We were greeted with a nice bag of treats for him too. It was a positive experience for us and our dog.

Hotel stay was wonderful. Catalina is not a very dog-friendly island but the hotel was very dog friendly. Dogs could go everywhere on the property, even in the pool area. There was a 75 dollar pet fee.

Clean and updated facility! Our room had a little patio our dog loved laying on! Upon check in they offered a treat bag for dogs! Friendly staff. Shuttle to and from town (they even let pups in the car!)
Definitely will book here again.

Safe Stay: Catalina Canyon Inn has enhanced cleaning and safety measures in place.
