The rooms were great, bed was comfortable, and the staff was top notch. The only downside is that food is a scarcity. Having said that there is a restaurant that’s attached to the hotel. They were great, food was yummy and they were super accommodating (take out is no problem).

Nowhere to walk dogs, a few stray kittens by front door, worried for their safety. Paint was peeling in bath tub. There is not an elevator for upper floor. They charge $10 each for breakfast; we chose not to purchase it.

We have stayed here several times since my last review. I still love this place. My dog and I are very comfortable here and we will continue to stay here. The hotel is older, but they keep it in very good shape (much nicer than the three star hotel we recently stayed in, in another town). This place is not particularly fancy, but I really appreciate the value. Clean, friendly, and comfortable beds.

Booked a reservation and came in from Highway 99. Drove through what appears to be a sketchy part of town. Arrived at location and saw a fence around the parking lot and a gate. Not promising. Do you lock the gate at night I asked? “No” was the reply. Why do you have a gate then? Well, people check-in late. Very safe part of town we were told. Then why have a fence and gate? Checked in and was told to take everything of value out of the car. No can do. Moving to another state for 4 months. Not a lot of cars in the parking lot. We left to book a room at the La Quinta Inn by the airport.

Hotel room was great! We didn’t get in until about 1am and Bakersfield isn’t the safest area. The entrance to the parking lot was covered by a stranded 18wheeler and we couldn’t figure out how to find the entrance. The front desk help was new and they didn’t speak the best English, but none the less, very sweet. Only one small strip of green for the dogs and it feels to unsafe to leave the property. Multiple homeless people roaming around all hours of the night and day. But- all of this to say, it was a very clean and very comfortable room. Plenty of room for the dogs and their beds.

The only issue was the lack of dog walking area. There is some grass but it is not designated, mostly a parking lot island, no poop bags or trash cans, but it works and people have been good about keeping it clean.

Pet friendly rooms are on the ground floor so dogs don’t have to go downstairs to get out. But there is very little area for dogs to go and no poop bags or trash receptacles.

We were very happy with the room. Our only recommendation would be to turn the air conditioner on prior to our arrival. It was a super hot day and it took a while for the room to cool, other than that the bed were comfy, the room was very clean.

Got stuck in Bakersfield due to snow on the I-5 stretch known as the Grapevine. Bakersfield isn’t the greatest/safest of places but this hotel ROCKED. Friendly staff, property is gated in and well lit and good areas for the pups to go potty. The room was very nice, large and easily accessible to the outdoor potty areas and vehicles. Staff were great despite being overwhelmed due to filling up to capacity unexpectedly. I’m a fan of this place.

Super comfy bed, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, doggie had everything he needed as well. Only bummer was no washcloths which seemed odd but everything else was good. We’d stay there again.
