The Cherokee Lodge has been a lodging house since 1896 and is now a cozy bed and breakfast inn on Coronado Island in San Diego Bay located one block from the culture, shopping, and restaurants of downtown Coronado, two and a half blocks from the beach, four blocks from historic Hotel Del Coronado and less than 15 minutes from Lindberg Field airport. With 12 bedrooms plus additional common areas, The Lodge is spacious and comfortable. Common area amenities include high speed internet access. ice machine, microwave, and laundry facilities. Room amenities include air conditioning, Satellite TV, DVD, refrigerators, free wired and wireless internet, free national and international VOIP telephone calls and double occupancy rooms with private bath. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the hospitality at Cherokee Lodge was so warm and genuine. The staff is incredibly accommodating and welcomed my very large dog with open arms. The room was perfect for our one night stay, and the place was quiet at night. It is well situated close to shops, restaurants and most importantly, the beach! It may be old, but it is taken care of and arranged to make guests feel at home.

We've stayed here several times. The lodge is a large converted house with a good selection of grab-and-go items for breakfast. The staff loves our dog and our dog loves to visit with them. The downstairs rooms are pet friendly and if you forget something (like a dog-dish), the staff will do their best to accommodate. The lodge is in a great dog-walking neighborhood and the dog beach is within walking distance, too, or driving if you'd rather. But it's close! Our pooch loves it here!

Safe Stay: Cherokee Lodge has enhanced cleaning and safety measures in place. Masks and hand sanitizer are provided to guests, and rooms are disinfected between each stay and sealed after cleaning. Social distancing measures are in place, as well as physical barriers between staff and guests. Contactless check-in and check-out are available. Each room has a 24-hour gap period between stays, and hotel staff are required to wear masks.
