Room was clean and spacious for my husband, I, and our two Australian shepherds. We even had a small patio for our doggies to relax on. Overall was just what we were looking for in a one night stay! Definitely will be booking here whenever I’m in Santa Barbara area!

Lots of things to do and our dog could join us everywhere, except the pool. The reason we didn’t give 5 bones is because the ‘dog relief’ area was extremely small and difficult to use when many dogs were vying for their spots. A larger, grassy area would be great! Staff was very helpful!

Clean room, comfortable bed. Easy access to room from outside, and plenty of space for the dog walks & potty trips. Very nice touch that they provide food/water bowls & beds for your pets in the room.

Want to say closer to Isla Vista? This is good choice. Nice vibe in the lobby and common/pool areas. Clean rooms. Spring for a courtyard room to get a view of the pool rather than the parking lot.

This was a really great place to stay. We loved being at a comfortable hotel where we didn’t have to worry about our dogs and so close to the beach. We’ll definitely be back.

I’m a huge fan of Kimpton, but, this is a motel at best. The staff is fantastic and a visit to the restaurant is worth the trip alone. When it first opened, the grounds and flower boxes were stunning. Now they are lanky and sad. (What can I say, I love landscapes!”)
Overall, you sense that Goodland had a lot of ideas, but obviously there is no cohesive thought.
Motel mattress was lumpy, rope furniture is super uncomfortable, semi private bath didn’t leave me any secrets from my spouse... again, not a real Kimpton experience.
The staff is what makes it a pleasurable experience.
Would stay overnight again, but not any longer. The Canary is a better fit for my dollar when in the area.

I travel all the time with my pup and have been horribly treated by other “pet friendly” hotels. Not here! This place is puppy heaven! So welcoming and legit pet friendly! Also beautiful property with fully stoked rooms! Down to snacks, robes, and an umbrella!
