Want to say closer to Isla Vista? This is good choice. Nice vibe in the lobby and common/pool areas. Clean rooms. Spring for a courtyard room to get a view of the pool rather than the parking lot.

Newly remodeled “hip” decor. Nice rooms. We paid $80 extra for a suite. It wasn’t over the top, but big and probably worth the extra money. There is a nice, new dog park a half a block up. The river walk is 2 blocks away. I would recommend at this place over staying at one of the casinos... especially if you have a dog with you.
