  Great Location

  We spent 2 nights here in April 2024 and were happy with the accommodations for us and our dog. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel was very quiet both nights even though they appeared to be completely booked. The one negative was we couldn't locate the designated dog relief area; we had to walk through the parking lot and let our dog wander under various bushes around the edge. During the day we found several very nice public parks all within a 10-15 minute drive of the hotel so he still was able to have some nice walks. The hotel was pretty central to several dog-friendly restaurants without us having to go into the crowded downtown area. We would stay here again.

  Room had a horrible sewer smell

  After being there for about 4 hours there was a horrible sewer smell. They gave us a different room. That room's bathroom sink drained very slowly and water leaked on the counter from both hot and cold handles.

  Nice staff and location

  The location was great and the room was fine. There was a dent in one wall, a cracked shower, and ripped chair, but for the price I guess that is fine. The bed was comfy and TV was good.

  Pets Welcome, But Ignored

  We’ll stay again, but it would be nice to have a better pet relief area, and a welcome bone would not go amiss. Five-star dog hotels have water dishes and dog bones as part of the fee. Still, decent digs with a dog. Some places give scuzzy rooms. These were nice.

  Great Experience

  Great place! Had a 1 night stay after a wet long day of driving. Easy check-in, clean room, vinyl floor so great for dogs, comfortable bed and very quiet. Walked the dogs around the neighborhood and felt I was in safe location being a woman alone. Will definitely stay here again next time I pass thru this town.

  Great location and fun stay

  We stayed for one night on our way to LA. The pool was refreshing. The room was clean and quiet. Will stay again for another weekend.

  Pet friendly room

  Room was right next to only patch of grass with poop bag dispenser and trash can. Also liked that the room had hard floors and not carpet so it didn’t smell like pee. Room was very clean with small fridge, microwave and a Keurig coffeemaker.

  Great location, needs work

  The room was clean and the employees were wonderful and helpful. As a last minute find it worked out well. The property can use some sprucing up. The rate for this hotel was a bit high considering the property itself and lack of amenities. Other guests tended to be loud. Somewhere to walk your dog would be nice since there really isn't any open space to let a dog run or even much grass for them to sniff and walk on.

  Vagabond Inn

  For the price we were expecting not as nice as a facility. The bed was comfortable, we liked the vinyl planking on the floor so not having to worry about any mess the dog might make! There is a beautiful nature center next door that is dog friendly.

  Our stay at the hotel

  Nice people, clean room! A little too much Clorox smell in the sheets. Had a problem sleeping because of I am sensitive to smells. The bathroom needs to be updated.

  Perfect for a quick stay

  The area is really beautiful! Set up against a hill. It was a cool morning and evening and surprisingly quiet despite many travelers and dogs. Bathroom is older and showers were slow to drain but we were willing to let that slide because of the value. We noticed some bugs in our room but likely because it was raining and we were on the ground floor.

  A lovely surprise

  This motel was so inexpensive (in a pricy location) that I had low expectations, and it was only one night. But the inn well-exceeded my expectations. Well-appointed and spacious rooms, artsy decor, beautifully landscaped with a lovely pool. It was quiet and peaceful. The pups and cats had a fine time, lots of places for a walk. The Vagabond Inn is now my "go to" place in Palm Springs.

  Grass, poop bags & a window

  Very convenient location for one night with our pup. Room was updated & clean enough. A bit noisy next to stairs for 2nd & 3rd floor but overall a good stop. Can park right outside your door and other pet parents were respectful.

  No complaints. It was a nice place to stay the night and explore. They didn’t make a fuss for having pets, and they were very accessible and friendly towards us.

  Good room

  First floor only rooms for dogs, and we were also put in an accessible room, although we are not disabled. While appreciate the low fee for dogs and lawn/potty bags, the cleanliness of the bathroom was a bit lacking with an oddly placed shower head. Otherwise nice for the price.

  The place was nightmare.

  We were placed on the second floor between two families in front of the pool and with noisy music to the early morning. Also, NO ONE was wearing masks; in the hallways and in the pool. This was the scariest place I've ever to because of the total disregard of the expanding coronavirus infections. This place should be closed down!!!!!!!

  Perfect for Travelers

  My husband and I stayed here on our last of a four day move from South Texas to Southern California. Not only did we have or vehicle loaded down with all of valuables and road bikes attached to the back of our car, we also had our four legged buddy, Edison in the car with us. Needless to day we needed a dog friendly and safe hotel to rest for the night before we made it to our final destination. The hotel clerk was very welcoming and accommodating to our needs and found us a first floor room where we could park our vehicle right out front and near the grassy area perfect for letting out Edison. Our room had recently been updated, was very clean, comfortable mattress and had both a mini fridge and microwave. This hotel was exactly what we were looking for!

  Good stay in PS

  We stayed in one of the refurbished rooms (just a few dollars extra and worth it). Room was simple but clean and had most things you need (ask at reception for coffee maker).
  It's very dog friendly, the only place you can't take Fido into is the café for breakfast but you can take them into to pool area (where the café is located) and sit outside or by the pool.
  Staff were friendly and the hotel is about 20 min walk from South part of downtown. Hotel was quiet at night.
  Pet fee was around $11.50 per night. If you plan to stay here, check with the hotel direct for a cheaper rate, they gave us a good deal compared to what we were offered online.
