        So convenient!

I loved my stay at this hotel! We got a room that had a back sliding door to an area where my little puppy could use the restroom. That was so convenient. Very clean and nice for the price!

        No designated area

Room was nice, but the pet designated area was the “dirt behind the cars.” It’s the strip between the parking lot and the freeway. There was a weed area we all used instead, there was also a wood chip area on the north side of the hotel. It was steep!

        5 Bones

This hotel was an Inn only. It was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was not up to par as the day shift forgot to hard boil some eggs for the next days breakfast. Therefore there was no protein. The hotel had recently gone through a update and even though it was an older Inn, it was very clean. We have a elder small dog and had no problem finding a place for her to potty. Would stay there again.

        Old & Tired

Many La Quinta's have been renovated, this one needs to be. There is a grassy area to the south of the property, however, it is only partially lit and frankly, I didn't like the look of some of the dogs staying there.

        Old and stinky

Why would this place have a 4 bone rating? My husband and I have gone all across the US in the last week. We stayed at some of the nicest hotels that were definitely 4 bones. This place was awful! Old, run down and very smelly! Cobwebs hanging in the lobby area too! Really need to revisit the rating on this one!

        best dog hotel

I just travelled cross country with my daughter and her dog. I highly recommend this hotel. It wasn't the nicest nor the worst hotel but it was perfect since we got a room with a slider to the center grass/pool area. This was perfect for doggie walks! The hotel is classically older but clean and comfy. Breakfast was free but just simple and cold

        perfect!

The hotel was very easy to get to. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a great restaurant next door... Beware giant portions!!! The hotel was dog friendly... There were many other dog families at the property. The room was very clean with plenty of room for Buddy (50 lbs). Small grassy area in the courtyard perfect for him to handle is business. Would definitely stop again when passing through!!!

        Dirty!

Have stayed there quite a few times in the past couple years but it keeps getting dirtier and dirtier. Besides the hair and dirty fingerprints in the bathroom, there was no coffee. My dog liked smelling all the stains on the carpet, though!

        Going down hill

We have stayed there several times a year for the past 3 years because they accommodate 3 dogs. However, our last stay will be the last. The hall carpets are very stained and dirty, the breakfast selection is down to meager and the staff is not what it used to be. It was a great overnight stop in times past.

        No Dog Fee!

Very friendly staff, they greeted our dogs with equal enthusiasm as us humans. Rooms smelt so nice and clean unlike other hotels we've stayed in. Plan an extra hour or so to explore Turtle Bay Exploration Park to walk your dogs. Most amazing park and we were able to exercise our dogs before hitting the road. All around great stay!

        Redding, California

Nothing "extra" for dogs, but no hassles, charges, or any bread concerns. There is an area all around the property where dogs can go.

This is an older motel, but still quite nice. Both times we stayed, the WiFi didn't seem to work, but our stay was quiet, clean, and pleasant.

They have a wonderful FREE breakfast with hot and cold cereals, muffins, fresh waffles, yogurt, bagels, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, etc.
It saved us having to worry about stopping for breakfast on our trip.

We stayed there going from Portland to San Francisco, and again on our return the following week.

I would have given the 5 bones if they had a grassy area for the dogs!

        Always appreciative!

We are always glad to find a place to stay where our pets are welcome! The swimming pool was very nice. The accomodations were so-so. Certainly not plush, but sufficent for a night's stay. We appreciate lodgings that allow pets witout a deposit or fee and will stay again!

Did not live up to reviews

Found La Quinta accepted dogs okay, but facility not as clean as I thought it should be and no fridge or microwave in the room. Did not feel it was real good value for the cost.

        Good Experience

Not the most up to date hotel, but the only hotel that did not require a deposit for each dog (we have 3) and the only one that did not limit the number of pets per room (we had our cat, too). Many people with dogs at the hotel - no special treatment, but we were only staying one night so it was not a real big deal. We would stay again.

        La Quinta Inn in Redding

Room, facilities and staff were great. Inner pool area was great for walking dog. Parking was close and plentiful. Noise from I-5 was bothersome, but livable. We'd use it again when traveling with our dog.

        La Quinta Inn Redding

The staff and accommodations were top notch.
The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed being able to order dinner from the Cattleman
Restaurant next door and bring it back to our room so our dog would not have to get back in to the truck and wait forl us while we had dinner

        Overnight stay

Enjoyed our overnight stay at the Redding CA La Quinta. No special attention paid to the dogs. Just it was OK to have them with us. Have been to other Hotels on the Coast that left them a treat bag and an older bathmat to sleep on. Found the coffee pot in the bathroom to be a bit odd. It was easy to get to and very centrally located. Many other travellers had their dogs with them ,too.
