Reviews
- WILLIAMJun. 10, 2022Great location
Clean and good area for walking dogs.
- AngelaMay. 18, 2022OK for one night
It’s an older property, the room was clean and the staff friendly. The biggest problem is the dog area, no grass all dirt and it is not maintained a lot of ‘old visits’ no one picked up.
- RiaMay. 16, 2022Dingy hotel
Everything about this hotel was uniformly below grade. First, they told us on the phone they had dedicated parking spots for autos with trailers, but all they had was parallel parking along the outside curb on the back side of the hotel - where cars parked in designated spots could actually hit you backing out. We understood our room would have a refrigerator but it didn’t. The vending machines were poorly stocked (no bottled water) and the breakfast was atrocious. The only yogurt available was Trix®️ Yogurt!
One coffee pot was empty the whole time we were in the breakfast area, and I heard the woman working there tell a guest to “just drink the dark roast.” The halls were very dark and the carpet in our room looked awful. Never again! - JohnMay. 5, 2022No good spots to walk the dog
Nice hotel, but not a good area for walking the dog.
- JonApr. 4, 2022La Quinta Redding
The room was very dirty. When we folded the comforter back on the bed there was a large dried blood stain or similar substance facing down, definitely had not been washed. The curtains were torn and full of holes..
- CorkyMar. 3, 2022Super friendly
Lots of other people staying there had dogs and everyone seemed happy to see other dog owners with dogs. Our dog made lots of new dog friends.
- JeffreyFeb. 6, 2022Great Location
Great hotel for the dogs. Easy to get to.
- JulieJan. 7, 2022Great place even w carpet in rooms
Location was easy on snd off freeway as it was a stop over on our road trip. The room was great. Water was hot. Request back of hotel on ground floor near a exit door easy for dogs to go potty. They delivered. Great steak house in parking lots. Lots of food delivery options. Great room for dogs. Breakfast was a mini version (some have fresh cooked eggs, waffles, sausage ect.). This place had bagged waffles, cereal, bagels, toast, juices. Only complaints is carpet floors. Bathroom door is wonky to open close. And beds are way high. Hard for frenchies to get up on. But we adjusted.
- LindaNov. 21, 2021Road trip
Travel with 3 dogs and family of 5. For a quick overnight it was perfect. Rooms were clean, plenty of grass for pups and cattlemen steakhouse next door. Would stay again.
- MiriamAug. 25, 2021Comfortable stay
The room was comfortable and my pup felt very comfortable there. Grass was easily available in front of the hotel. 4/5 bones only because there were a few ants that popped up in the room.
- MikeAug. 15, 2021Dog friendly
Beautiful courtyard.
- CarolApr. 22, 2021Just fine
And there is a great Riverside off leash dog park 5 minutes away
- KaleApr. 21, 2021Pet area was not great
The place was clean, comfortable and had large rooms. They didn't have any ground level rooms available, so on the 3rd floor. There is a great, grassy courtyard but pets are not allowed. The pet area was on the side or the back. No grass and inconvenient to get to.
- CindyMar. 28, 2021Dog show weekend
Very friendly staff, rooms were spacious. The courtyard was a lovely place to gather with friends.
- JunkoMar. 10, 2021Big Dogs Welcome
It was no problem for our dog to stay overnight (no additional charge for pets) and the room was not modern but it was clean, had a nice size fridge and a microwave along with a flat screen TV. Spacious room.
However, it didn’t really seem like there was a significant place for the dogs to go potty outside. There were places where they are not supposed to go to do their business (with signs stating so) but not real psych of grass where it was ok to use. It’s still pandemic time so we appreciate that people tried to practice social distancing and wearing masks. No breakfast, just coffee available from 5:00am due to safety issues.
We will revisit again another time. - AnnieFeb. 28, 2021Does the trick for one night
The place was clean, and we had absolutely no issues with our dog, which was great. The walls are so paper-thin that you can hear everything going on next door and above you. Also, for being a “non-smoking” property, there were clearly people smoking in their rooms, the hallways, and stairwells.
- WayneNov. 30, 2020Clean, comfortable and pets stayed free
This hotel was very clean & updated. Great, affordable hotel that did not charge a fee for our 2 yellow labs. Would recommend for pet owners as well as those without pets.
- KennethOct. 20, 2020One night stay
Easy check in, comfortable rooms, very pet friendly.
- TagenAug. 22, 2020No Good Dog Areas
The hotel was dirty and there were no good areas for dogs with any grass. Fairly quiet for being located next to the freeway.
- KristineAug. 18, 2020Basic but friendly staff
I’ve stayed at several LaQuintas with my dog and they are always lovely. This particular location was not my favorite. The room was outdated and didn’t have a fridge. They also put us right by the ice machine/vending machines which caused my pup to bark when someone passed by. Fine for one night - but not as cozy as many of the other LaQuintas I’ve stayed at. The staff was very welcoming with my dog.

- CourtneyJun. 17, 2020Affordable but not a great nights sleep
The place was affordable and in an ok location (easy access to freeways, easy to find). But they didn’t have a great spot to walk my dog so he went near the parking lot. The bed was incredibly old and uncomfortable. Musty room.
I would not recommend staying here for multiple days, but if you’re doing a road trip and need a quick place to stop it was safe and affordable.
- SandraJun. 6, 2020Clean but not really dog friendly
I left in the middle of the night. Not guest accommodating or friendly. The desk clerk was rude In her delivery, not welcoming, “no breakfast tomorrow!” ... no alternatives offered. The grounds are NOT dog friendly, the list of don’t with your dog is very long. Never again. On the other hand, the night before I stayed at LaQuinta in Salem OR and it was clean, dog and people friendly & very accommodating.
- RobertMay. 31, 2020Great location.
Room could have been a little cleaner...finger prints on doors and door trim.
- TammieFeb. 27, 2020Ok
We use this hotel as a one night stop on our road trips to California.
Works well for that purpose.2 dogs ,no pet fee. Can’t complain. - KarenJan. 27, 2020Comfortable but...
There were no spare outlets anywhere near the bed for plugging in my phone. The outlet near the desk was difficult to reach, so that wasn't an option. If you have electronics that need plugging in, bring your own 3-way outlet plug! Other La Qunitas have a clock/plug/USB device to plug into. Not this one.
- PjJan. 6, 2020Basics covered
a bit worn around the edges, totally lame breakfast but room was clean. All we needed was a place to crash for a night to get on the road again, it worked for that
- DDec. 9, 2019Gross place
Place was so outdated and old. I was afraid there were bed bugs. The carpet was nasty and when I went to wipe something up, the towel was black from the carpet. Toilet ran all night long. The pet area was all dirt and mud. No wood chips or grass area. I can tell the owners and management don’t care about the place. And for $100 a night? Better off staying at an Extended Stay or Marriott Express for that kind of money. I wouldn’t stay here if I were you.
- ChristineNov. 29, 2019Very polite!
The two front employees were so friendly and polite. There were quite a few other dogs but parking was ample. Some quick local food places nearby. I would stay here again!
- AnabelNov. 17, 2019Nice hotel with no pet pees.
Nice, spacious room and parking has designated pet area. They also provide waste bags.
- MonaNov. 17, 2019Could have been better
Originally put me in a noisy location by the gym. People coming and going at all hours making the dogs bark. They did give me a different location the second night after an unpleasant phone call. When I returned to the front desk to get my key, they were much nicer. Wish they had a better spot for dogs to do their business. Just doesn’t feel all that dog friendly.
- RobynNov. 16, 2019Friendly check in
We liked the fact that there was not an extra charge for the pets. The room was clean and convenient for taking Fido out. Large dirt area for the dogs and well lit at night. Our only problem was room location, we heard the trash truck at 4 am and the laundry room.
- PamelaNov. 9, 2019Review
Love La Quinta and the no pet fee policy. The folks are always super polite, and have lovely manners. We've stayed at over a dozen locations around the country, since June. They have all been comfy and great locations near any freeway. And the breakfasts make it all worthwhile!
Thanks La Quinta! - WilliamNov. 7, 2019Not bad
Ok place for your furry friend. Pet area really needs to be cleaned and spruced up.
- AudreyOct. 22, 2019Great choice!
No pet charge. First floor easy access. Room was spacious and clean.
- GenaOct. 18, 2019Great Location, quick check in and good breakfast
- LindaSep. 12, 2019Hotel is a bit tired
The hotel had a huge pet relief area but because many owners don’t clean up after their pets, it was full of poop. The hotel was adequate and there were many dogs there!
- DavidSep. 2, 2019Great location!
Right next to the campus. Great place to walk Rover.
- EdwardAug. 21, 20191 night s
room excellent, breakfast good, and outdoor area great!
- BrookeAug. 21, 2019So convenient!
I loved my stay at this hotel! We got a room that had a back sliding door to an area where my little puppy could use the restroom. That was so convenient. Very clean and nice for the price!
- MaryAug. 12, 2019No designated area
Room was nice, but the pet designated area was the “dirt behind the cars.” It’s the strip between the parking lot and the freeway. There was a weed area we all used instead, there was also a wood chip area on the north side of the hotel. It was steep!
