Tough to stay with pets here, the walls are thin. They are very strict with any kind of noise from pets. Their outdoor restaurant does not allow dogs either. Hotel is not suited for pets so they really should not advertise being pet friendly. Plus the steep price is not reflected in the amenities in the room or the faciltt- needs major upgrading. Please look elsewhere where they are more welcoming to your pet and you can actually relax without worrying about your pet.

Had a fabulous stay at Vitale in June for a three-night weekender. We enjoyed the breataking bay view on the open balconies available to guests! Spent all Saturday lounging with the pup overlooking the hustle and bustle of the Ferry Building. Several grassy areas surrounding the hotel, but keep in mind it is a filthy city! We immediately gave him a bath when we got home because just three days of walking him had his white areas turn brown. It is a steeper pet fee than other hotels in SF so if the patio and proximity to the Ferry are not key to your stay there is no compelling reason to stay here. The hotel restaurant is not dog friendly and there wasn't a single other dog in sight, sad for Cooper who loves other dogs. It's probably great then for a less socialized dog who is startled by other dogs easily.
