    Perfect room for a dog!

The room's floor was perfect for dogs. Although there wasn't a formal potty location, there were many areas to take our pooch to relieve herself. he staff was very welcoming to our dog.

    Everyone Loved this Place

If you can afford to splurge for this hotel, go for it. Awesome pool, food, and staff. No need to go anywhere unless you want to put your toes in the sand or check out the boardwalk. It's a 5-10 min drive.

    Dog Heaven

We loved our 2 night stay here. Super welcoming to dogs, large room. Restaurant, bar, pool. You can leave your dog in the room if you need to. Only downside is you have to walk a bit to fix a green patch for your dog to pee.

Would have been great but COVID

The hotel is really quite nice, and Santa Cruz and the surrounding area is a dog's paradise. There are tons of outdoor patios where our lab could lay under the table during meals and a fun dog beach. But the hotel did not have sufficient housekeeping staff. We had to beg to get our room cleaned in the middle of the week, even though we were there for a full week. It would have been fine for a day or two but pretty rough for a full week, particularly given that it is not an inexpensive hotel. Also, the park behind the hotel has become a homeless encampment. It's relatively clean and well-maintained (compared to what we see around L.A.) but definitely not ideal if you were hoping for a scenic walk with the dog along the river. In non-COVID times, I suspect that it would be five stars, but with COVID, we're looking at more like 3.5. We'd give it another try in the future though.

Great Hotel for a great price

We got this hotel at the end of a 9 day road trip because we were exhausted from camping. This hotel is very nice and feels quite luxurious. We stayed for two nights after initially just planning to stay for one. The only thing is there is a super sketchy park behind the hotel that has a huge homeless camp. You can't tell or won't even notice unless you try to go to the park. Do not plan on walking your dog in this park. With that beings said, I would still definitely go back to this hotel.

    Awesome stay!

This property is so inviting, especially during the time of COVID. We felt very comfortable, safe, and welcomed by the staff. Our dog loved the A/C in the room, and being able to walk in the nearby park. The bed is DIVINE, and the pool area is amazing. Excellent Thai food within walking distance. We can't wait to visit again!

Nice room, good location, great staff

Had a great stay - we brought our two dogs (medium/small size) and had no issues at all. Room was nicely designed, in good condition, front desk staff were friendly and responsive, location is excellent and it's an easy stroll to the river walk near by. Definitely recommend and will return.
