- AllisonJan 21, 2024Convenient, friendly, a little stinky
Very convenient right off the highway, but all rooms face a large courtyard with grass (and the pool) so the noise is unnoticeable. Lots of room for walks around the Andersen's complex; not pretty but a large loop will take you 15 minutes with sniffing. There's also a small off-leash area nearby (hard to find). Rooms open onto the courtyard for easy potty access. Room was comfortable and respectable, but I dropped one bone because it was a little stinky (clearly a pet room). Warning - the food at the nearby Andersen's restaurant is pretty awful but if you stick with fried stuff (like the appetizer tray) it's ok. We had a 1.5 yo German Shepherd.

However, evening receptionist was nice & changed our room to a nicer non smoking room a little further away from highway. We were not charged pet fee for our service dogs. Entire place is dated & needs a remodel. Breakfast was mediocre. Staff friendly & accommodating. Rooms clean & beds comfortable.

We arrived at 5:00 pm with a full confirmation indicating 2 adults and 1 pet, was informed upon arrival that we had a room ready, but then the desk clerk realized we were slated for a non-pet room. She checked with the manager by phone and we were turned away even with our confirmation. They did help us find a pet room at a nearby motel, but it was of poor quality, smelled of dog urine. Not a great experience at all.

BringFido is now my only hotel search browser. The hotel was decent, but my dog was very happy. Plus, the restaurant next door, Pea Soup Anderson, was so pet friendly they gave our pup nice bowl of cold water on the blistering hot day.

Staff was very pleasant and the grassy area was ideal for my dog to stretch his legs. No restaurants in the area will deliver, so plan accordingly.

After a bad experience with the motel 6 down the road, we booked the last pet room at the last minute. The 30 dollar pet fee was worth the grass right outside your room. would definitely stay again, staff was super friendly

Pet owners get 1st floor rooms with a patio that open to a large grassy area. Im not sure where the miles of nature that they advertised as being behind their property were at, I only saw the highway... but it was a good dog space.
