    Great historic hotel!

This historic hotel is very cool. So much history and charm. The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to make our dog feel welcome, and even set up a table for us so she could join us for dinner. Nice green space out front. The food at the restaurant is very good. Cute little downtown area to walk around. Would definitely recommend for those traveling with pets.

    Beautiful Historic Hotel

We loved the architecture and atmosphere of the Glen Tavern Inn. It was like stepping back in time to 1920. Warm woodwork and period correct flooring. But there was room for improvement. 1) The continental breakfast was among the least appealing we've ever seen. One small air pot of coffee was available for all the guests. 3 people would empty the air pot. The staff would then take 10 minutes to brew a small pot of coffee to refill the air pot. Three more guests would empty the pot. Repeat, they need to have a ready supply of coffee to meet demand.

    2) Room 209: The HVAC system in our room had a defective blower motor that squealed and chirped enough to give a person a headache. I reported it but got zero response. 3) The loosely attached shower curtain rod fell down on me while I was in the shower.

    4) The room had a really roomy jetted bath tub/shower unit. But, the traction enhancement floor of the tub was worn smooth. I had no issue with it but a less agile person could easily slip.

We will stay there again but will insist on inspecting our room first.

Historic hotel with nice grassy area

Beautiful historic hotel. Our room was spacious w/2 queen beds and a tile floor. Nice lawns in front for doggie relief with doggie bags provided. Only drawback was our room location at the end of a long, carpeted hall on the 2nd floor. Our puppy could barely hold it all the way down the hall, down 2 flights of carpeted stairs, through the lobby, and out the front door to the lawn in the morning.

    Great Hotel For Dogs

We enjoyed our two night stay with Rosie the Pug at this historic hotel. There’s a dog friendly grassy spot out front with poop bags and the hotel’s restaurant, Enzo’s, is more than happy to accommodate take out orders if you want to eat in your room (we found out later we could have had a waiter serve us and Rosie at the game table in the lobby).

The area around the hotel is great for going on walks, including a railroad park across the street.
