Great place to stay - Great Staff!

Great place to stay - Great Staff- Hugh outside two-level hot tubs with waterfalls between them. Short walk to Tahoe beach, Lime scooters are even easier to get there. Nice rooms. The resort is geared for your pup. Fun Place!

        Good, Not Great

This hotel was a decent hotel at a good price that allows big dogs without an issue. The guest room was in good condition, but not fancy. There were spots where the rug was unraveling, water damage to a wall in the bathroom, chipped paint on the frame of the mirror. Again, it met our needs, but not what I would consider 4 to 5 bones.

Location is great for access to the Main Street of South Lake Tahoe.

Grounds were maintained well. Lots of space to walk the dog.

        Great Location

My fiancé and I recently stayed here with our German Shepherd puppy. We had the most amazing experience! The hotel is extremely pet friendly with designated grass zones for dogs. Our room had a fireplace, lovely kitchen, and plenty of space for the three of us. We walked a short 5 minutes down to the lake at sunset.
We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend for dogs of all sizes.

Ok, but know before you go...

Hotel is nice, but there are a few things to know before you go.

If you stay in the deluxe king room the room smells like a fireplace because each of these rooms has a wood burning fireplace. A lot of people like this and during the winter I may agree, but during the summer that's all you smell when you walk in the room and you more than likely aren't going to be using it.

Also, the hotel has a pool and access to a private beach. However, dogs are not allowed in the pool area or at the private beach and there is a $100 charge if you leave your dog unattended in the room. All of this would have been nice to know before we opted for this hotel.

Pros, the hotel is centrally located to Heavenly village and the state lines. Everything is within walking distance. The rooms seem newly renovated and are nice, they also have a mini fridge which I didnt see that mentioned in the amenities.

        Wonderful little hotel

Was excited to have this hotel for my first trip out to this area. They were great for both humans and dogs and both of my dogs (a one year old and a new pup!) had no issues staying here. Its near so many shops and restaurants and the lake (although I will admit, we did not plan on it being snowy still, since it had since melted at home just a couple states to the northeast), but for the price, it definitely cannot be beat. And spending 25 a night on each pet versus the 40 I almost spent at a different hotel, how can I say no? The room itself was amazing. Clean, large, and warm with a nice porch space - one of the best hotels we have stayed at!

        Best Value Around

Found this gem thru Bring Fido app and was so impressed. Large clean room, nicely appointed. Location is great for walking to groceries, Heavenly Village shopping, gondolas and beaches. Ample off street parking. No qualms about checking in with my 95lb Alaskan Malamute and will happily recommend it to all our friends and family who travel with their fur family.

        would stay here again

Great location, friendly staff, super clean, there is a private beach nearby that does not allow dogs... So you have to drive to get to dog friendly beaches. Lots of dog friendly restaurants within walking distance. The bed was not the most comfortable and we could hear the upstairs tenants walking around, but that's my only complaint.

        Great Location

This is a mid-priced hotel that accepts dogs. We got a regular room with a king sized bed. The location is 2 small blocks off Lake Tahoe Blvd and just a short walk from Stateline and Heavenly village. It is also just a few blocks from the lake. There is sufficient grass for the dog and they charged $25 pet fee. The room is decent looking but not too big but that's okay. There is also a small balcony. They have updated some of the decor, which kind of works. The bed is comfy. There is a big flat screen, mini fridge, blow dryer and iron but no microwave. There is an outdoor pool and spa. During our November trip, the pool was frozen but the spa was steaming hot. The rooms are quiet. You have to pay for late checkout. Late check out between 11:30-2:30 was a $50 add-on. The best part of this hotel is the allowing dogs and the location.

        Great Hotel

June 28 we made a quick trip to Tahoe with Portuguese Water Dog ( PWD) I was very happy to find and stay at this hotel. ALL the rooms are pet friendly and ours was very clean. Plus the rates were great! The Jr. Suite/2nd floor was clean and quite spacious including a living room, with little fridge and micro and large fenced deck accessible from the living room and the bedroom. Our PWD loved the freedom of the deck just lounging outside. ,Nice separate King bedroom with good bed. A tub shower bath with separate sink area. The staff were very helpful with suggested activities. We walked to restaurants and Starbuck. Plus our furry friend came to dinner with us at at Azules. FYI onsite there are multiple BBQ areas if you want to go that direction. There is an nice pool and little spa which seemed well cleaned and maintained. No dogs are allowed in that area. We had an issue with the remote for the air conditioning that is separate per room, but otherwise it was great. Just be sure it works when checking in. I'm looking forward to staying again. I liked the 2nd floor suite, but I'd suggest the first floor Jr suites during the winter as the stairs could be a hassle with luggage and dog stuff. For larger groups they have 2 bedroom units with full kitchens and also there is a Cabin to rent. Unfortunately Dogs can't swim at many Tahoe Public Beaches but KIVA Beach on the West Shore just past Camp Richardson is a great place to go for all.

        Rip Off

Not a pleasant stay, paid more than we thought and received nothing promised on the website.
We booked through a third party site for $47 a night, and it said it was pet friendly but charges may apply. When we called the resort to find out there was a fee no one answered, but the answering machine said "Thank you for calling pet friendly 3 peaks resort". When we arrived they said it was a $25.00 pet fee. Pretty steep compared to the fact we only paid $47 for the entire room. When we asked to cancel she would not refund our money.
In order to save some money we went to the store to eat dinner in the room since we already spent more money than we planned. Upon arrive to the underwhelming "3 star" it wasn't a very clean room, and it had big holes in the carpet. We noticed there was no microwave, so we went to the front desk after we bought all of this food and they said if would be an extra $5 to have a microwave. What kind of 3 star resort does even have a microwave in the room?! By the way it was pretty humorous how loosely you can use the word "resort" in your hotel name, because this place was far from one.
We just finished a 7 day camping trip and REALLY needed to do laundry, and of coarse, the laundry room is broken.
When we went to use the hot tub, it was locked. When we asked the management why it wasn't open they said, "they needed to check the chemicals". Absolutely none of the selling points advertised for this place were available, and the management made it clear that your business was not that important to them. If you're on a budget save your money and stay at one of the nicer 2 star hotels down the street that will have available amenities and a friendlier staff.

        Fantastic!!!!!

I know this is late in posting this, but we stayed here last season and it was fantastic!!! Amazing rooms and they except pets!!!! Great price and very clean. Nice staff. We went skiing at Kirkwood and just had a wonderful time. We are actually planning our trip to Kirkwood again (we are locals and love that mountain) and want to stay here again, because it was a very wonderful experience.

        IPOD TOUCH STOLEN FROM ROOM

I rented a two bedroom condo. We liked the fact that we could bring our dog. Unfortunately theft was a problem. Our Son's IPOD Touch was stolen from the room and the management was really unwilling to do anything about it. The other disspointing issue was that the Pool was out of order in the summer season. Really dissapointing stay. Beware your belongings!

        Great location

Great location can walk to shops, casinos and Lake! Regarding leaving dog in hotel room...you CAN if you have a kennel to put the dog in so it was GREAT!

        Bad Experience

Rude staff. Terrible room. Tried to charge additional pet fees without warrant. Not honest people at all. A lesson learned for us. Will never go back.

        Fantastic

Resort is within walking distance of Heavenly Gondola, shops, and casinos. Friendly staff. Room was well worth the price. The resort was recently renovated per the front desk staff, and it seemed as though most everything was pretty new. Our stay was fantastic. Highly recommended, and will stay again next time I'm in Tahoe.

        Nice Hotel

We spent two nights at 3 peaks resort and beach hotel. As far as being pet friendly there were many other dogs. Pool and hot tub were nice and clean, free coffee was enjoyable, the only issues were the hotel room although it was very clean, the toilet water ran at times during the night and the bathroom door was hard to close. all in all I would stay here again, staff was very nice.

        Wonderful

I was so excited that they took pets. When we got there I was greeted by a nice young man who gave me discount coupons to a local pet store. Check in was a breeze and when we entered the room we were blown away. I loved the bed but slept on the couch because it was so darn comfortble. The jacuzzi tub was really nice and had that romantic feeling to the room as well. Loved the LG heating and cooling system. Though the should place a manual in there on how to operate it. We stayed there for 2 days and the service was great. We didn't have any problems with thin walls we had the rooms that were right in front of the pool area. It was nice. The doggie area was nice though they provided the bags so did we. Only problem was we had ants in the room by the fridge. No big deal we went to the grocery store bought some spray took care of the problem. They gave us an additional 15% off the room. And when we checked out we left behind some shoes we called a few days later having discovered they weren't in the luggage and they said they would check lost and found and send them out. well sure enough they did. Their honest as well. They just didn't throw them out or take them. I am actually looking to book a trip in November for my spouses birthday. So, here we come!!! It was great!!

        Pleasantly Surprised

My boyfriend and I made plans very last minute to stay in Tahoe for a night and chose 3 Peaks after looking at reviews etc. We were extremely happy with our stay. We found the staff very helpful and accomodating... seeing as were were staying only one night and checked in at 9pm, we were upgraded to a beautiful suite by the helpful staff. The location was great and allowed us to walk to multiple restaurants, shops and was only 15 min from KIVA beach which allows dogs.
Overall we loved this hotel and will continue to use it as our accomodation in future trips.

        Expected More...

I was expecting more out of this hotel than what I got. Right off the bat I knew the staff was going to be a problem. I called twice before our arrival to confirm the appointment and one of those times I had to hang up because I was placed on hold for too long. When we got there i waited in the lobby for 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. One employee was busy while the other 2 were gossiping and when they were done she answered 2 phone calls before attending to me. When we finally got our room I was happy that it was clean. We settled in and then we found out our room door would not lock when we were about to leave for dinner! So that was another hassle. The front desk sent someone up after 15 min to check the door, She tried to tighten the screws w/the plastic door key before giving up. We asked to be moved. They did upgrade us to a Suite on the first floor. In summary, the walls are thin so you will hear the neighbors. Ask for a downstairs room it will be easier than carrying a crate up the stairs especially when its cold. Also, if you want to pay extra for a suite I'd do it because there is a patio door and fido can relieve himself right off of the room. You do have to pick up after fido or there will be a $20 fee per mess. I'd stay here for the night but i must warn that the staff is not professional. When I asked for bandaids one guy replied "geez what else do you want?" Really? The only reason I give this a 3 is because they did upgrade us to a suite. Oh also, the parking lot was so narrow due to snow buildup we could barely navigate our truck through the lot and they do not provide doggie bags inside the room or the lobby. The only ones available were snowed in throughout the property.

        3 Peaks, Lake Tahoe, CA

Hotel was fine, but they didn't want you to leave your dog unaccompanied - which makes it a little difficult if you want to go to casinos.
