Large, clean room. Heater made noise every time it came on, but kept the room warm. Dog rooms are on the first floor near doors making it convenient. Lots of space for the dog to do her thing. Good breakfast.

You get what you pay for! So glad I tried a higher priced stay than my usual budget stays which have been iffy. The room was very clean and on the ground floor near the exterior door. (I was told all pet-friendly rooms are on the ground floor). I felt very comfortable, safe, and welcome. The outdoor areas were perfect for my little girl with clean astro turf everywhere! Cleanliness was not an issue. The room was well appointed and, again, very clean. The breakfast was well stocked with the usual offerings. The location is also great right off the interstate with major gas stations and fast food etc. There was an actual restaurant at the hotel although I didn't check it out. definitely recommend the Baymont to BringFido users!

Place was very clean, and rooms were a good value. Staff was friendly. There are a few grassy areas for the dogs to go, but pretty limited. Rooms are quiet, but outside there are lots of truck, freeway, and train noises, which were distracting for our dogs. It took awhile for them to get used to the noise, and then decide to focus on doing their business. Some dogs, who don’t mind noise and distraction might do better than ours here.

$20 per pet and no poop 💩 bags so some people were leaving the poop on the fake grass. Room was quiet but a bit dirty. No power plugs for charging phones without crawling under the desk. The ice machine worked well and the refrigerator was cold.

Not a lot of great choices in this town but for a quick 1 night stay does the job. Gas and food next door. High school nearby that has grass area to run dog.

The hotel was fine for my dog. Floors not carpeted and plenty of areas for her to do her business. Sadly the trash cans around the property were overflowing. Not a good look. Maybe they were short-staffed.

Hotel was convenient with clean rooms. Staff was solid. Room did have a lamp that had no bulb, got a replacement easily enough, but found the standing lamp had a short. Mounted hair dryer also had a short. Not huge deals and things happen and we reported to the desk. Property outside was okay. A bit of trash around but it is off the freeway, so some trash probably blows onto the property. They have turf around the property, which not a huge fan of but it is the desert. All in all, it worked well for us.

They have synthetic grass all around the property for pet to relieve themselves, but neither the pet owners nor the property owners clean the areas so they are disgusting.

The staff were friendly, the room was clean, and there are good spots to walk the dog behind the hotel and across the street. The only downsides were sketchy WiFi connectivity, almost no wireless reception in the room, and very limited channel options on TV.

Convenient stop right off the highway. Great service, decent room, and nice breakfast in the am. We only wish that people would have more respect and PICK UP THEIR DOG'S POOP! Also, maybe the hotel should put out some ashtrays so people won’t leave their butts on the ground! Thank you Baymont!!

The people at the hotel are very nice! There is a good walking area around the hotel, and not looking at the garbage in the field next to it, an ok place to walk my dog. There is a very nice park not too far from the hotel on Robinson St. also, that has nice green grass!

A very nice motel in a great little town, especially if you like trains! (But there was no train noise in the room.) There’s a neat courtyard area to walk your pup, as well as areas around the motel. And you can walk a long block down to the tracks and watch trains come and go. The breakfast set-up looked good but they’d had a brief power outage while I was there so I couldn’t sample everything. There’s a gas station just across the parking lot, as well as a little grocery store. It was fun to drive into town, too. Very nice people and experience!

What a dump. First we arrived early afternoon and the surly female receptionist said she was too busy to check us in early. And repeated her unfriendly retort when it was only 30 minutes before check in. I distinctly heard that house cleaning was finished with all the rooms so that wasn’t the reason for our delayed check in. On the positive side the room was large, bed was comfortable and there was a small refrigerator. Here’s my list of more specific complaints: the pool was empty, the back security hall door wouldn’t stay locked and the noise from the above room’s bathroom was deafening. As well as the ice maker nearest my room was broken and the free breakfast was a joke. Every other food case was empty. I don’t recommend staying here so maybe stop over at another town all together.

Hotel was in good condition, clean and quiet. Limited area for walking the dogs - just around the property. Everything worked properly - HVAC, TV, shower. 2 miles from cute downtown with a quaint old style restaurant (Kelcy's) and a great German bakery.

We got a room that was right by the door to the dog area. Poop bag stations and the room had hardwood floors as well!

My husband is a disabled veteran for several service-connected conditions. And even though on the morning of arrival I had verified directly with with an employee of this hotel that our dog was a registered service animal where the pet fee should be waived, upon arrival later that afternoon, I was told that because her registration said she was an "emotional support" service animal, the fee would NOT be waived. Please understand that it was not the amount being charged. It was the principle of the situation and the fact that I had called ahead of our arrival. When someone suffers from more than one condition or disorder, particularly PTSD, which IS an emotionally-based disorder, how else would one designate their service animal? To NOT honor my husband's emotional-support service animal was a disgrace and a slap-in-the face of every veteran who sacrificed for this country! SHAME ON YOU, Baymont by Wyndham - Tehachapi, CA!!!! We will NEVER stay here again!!!

We choose this hotel as it had a continental breakfast included. And we did enjoy a wonderful Indian meal in the evening at the attached Indian restaurant. A really delicious meal, so we had high hopes for breakfast the following morning. However it consisted of so-so coffee and Nothing else … no fruit, no pastries, no ability to make toast? You could have rice crispies but that was the sole selection. So sorry to say it was a real disappointment.

Usually when we stay here we have a good experience with our Golden Retrievers. This time when we checked in- we had a room with a king size bed reserved through Bring Fido- well we got a room with 2 double beds. When I went to the front desk, I was told that the dog friendly rooms only had double beds, but that there were 2 dog friendly rooms with king sized beds, but they were both reserved for that evening. The person at the front desk had a take it or leave it attitude. Funny- we have stayed there 5 times before and have had 5 different rooms with a king sized bed. New policy?? But one thing that really bothered us was that there was dog stool all over the property- mostly stool from small dogs. Come on dog owners- clean up after your pets- it is not that hard. There are trash barrels at every door to deposit your stool bags in. No wonder alot of hotels don't allow dogs anymore.

My husband and I brought our senior Retriever for an overnight stay at The Baymont Inn in Tehachapi. We were really happy with the comfortable, pleasantly decorated and clean hotel. We enjoyed the welcoming staff, helpful and dog friendly indoor and outdoor space as well as a generous amount of hot and cold breakfast choices. It was affordably priced through BringFido.com. We look forward to staying there again to visit this scenic town with it's charming, inviting community.

At least for the pet rooms, this aged hotel is just not that great. If we do another trip to Tehachapi, we will likely find another place unless we learn this hotel has undergone a complete major upgrade.

We booked a room and had the reservation confirmed almost three weeks in advance, through BringFido. This morning - the day of the stay - they told us (through BringFido) that the room was no longer available for us. They did tell BF that maybe they could accommodate us if we moved to a more expensive room. Otherwise, we were not getting our room! What a bunch of grifters! So unethical! We had to scramble to find an available room in Tehachapi for tonight!
