South Coast Winery Resort and Spa welcomes two dogs up to 60 lbs for an additional fee of $150 per pet, per stay. Dogs may not be left unattended in rooms, and are not permitted in food and beverage areas, except for assigned outdoor dining area. Guest pets receive a Wag Bag of amenities, including bowls, a mat, and blanket. There is a pet relief area with waste station on the property. Cats are not allowed. The villa we stayed in was perfect having a pet. You had direct access to the outside for potty brakes which was perfect. The major downfall was they had stated that restaurant allowed outside dining for pets. We walked over one morning for breakfast and my husband went in to request an outside table and they said it was too cold so they couldn't serve us. He stated we were told we could be served out on the patio with an animal. The women at the front said let me see if anyone would be willing to serve you outside. We waited and she came back and said no. We left the restaurant and went back to the hotel and I asked to talk with a manager. The manager said that definitely we should have been seated and served outside. We would have chosen a different hotel if we known service was going to be a problem with an animal outside. If that's not the case they shouldn't advertise it.

Vastly overpriced, room sparsely furnished. Lighting gloomy and inadequate, not enough light to read indoors but Wi-Fi didn’t work outside on patio. Great restaurant.
