  Not clean or safe

  First the smell when the door was open was terrible. The door had been kicked in at some point (possibly even several times) and had no safety lock. Black mold in the bath room, the walls have god knows what on them, and honesty I didn’t even want my dogs on the filthy floor or even on the nasty bed cover! DO NOT STAY HERE. Pretty sure they rent rooms by the hour here as well. Unsafe as I had a man approach me twice - his pants were down and he was asking for money. I saw a drug deal go down. Not a clean or safe place to rest your head

  The most disgusting hotel ever!!

  we checked in and the place was filthy I even took photos. Its covid and the pillows had mascara on them and dirt they didn’t even clean them the towels if u call it that had blood and were the size for a two year old. Blankets had cigarette stains on them. Bathroom was filthy I can’t even go on absolutely disgusting we checked out and got our money back I do not even know how they are in business and I’m gonna complain more with my photos no one should ever experience this!! Most horrific hotel ever!!

  Saddest motel ever

  If a casting director is reading this and needs a location perfect for someone hitting rock bottom and ending it all, look no further! Travelers should beware though. I don't see how this place would have positive reviews unless there's an error - let me bring you up to speed...
  1. It's not a Rodeway Inn. It used to be, but now it is the Jefferson Inn. This means they don't have a head office to oversee them, and they can send service and cleanliness spiraling into a fatal tailspin.
  2. Upon arrival the wifi didn't work. In fact, it never did. The office seemed so surprised by this, but it's a simple issue of substandard equipment and the distance of the room from the repeater.
  3. This place hasn't seen an update or even been lightly refreshed since the 1960s. The grounds were littered, everything was dirty and neglected, and the place is basically held together with duct tape, decades of grime, and the crushing weight of infinite despair.
  3. Safety is not an issue for this hotel. As in they don't even have a nodding acquaintance with any part of the current building code. Smoke alarm missing from the bracket, mini-fridge and microwave were on a cheap power strip and extension cord, and that's just what you can see before digging deeper.
  4. Did I mention it was filthy? I've seen cleaner junk yards. Even my dog was depressed and she is usually happy to roll around in mud or get into the most unhygienic of situations, but not here. The sink didn't drain at all, and it's clear that issue has gone unnoticed for some time. I could go on, but literally no one cares is the theme here.
  5. The icing on the cake, and the urge to take the time to write this long and accurate review, occurred when I was loading out at 11am and my key stopped working. I went back to the office and the man behind the counter proceeded to berate me for not being out by 11am and I was simply trying to get out of there and my dog was still trapped in the room. It was 11:05am.

  I have used BringFido to book my entire move, and most of the places were just fine - this one is a glaring exception. Usually the ratings are fairly accurate, I don't know how this one slipped through the cracks, but let my totally crappy experience inform you and I would definitely recommend you run screaming from this page and try another hotel. This place is one Norman Bates short of a horror show. Again, if you have a friend that is a casting director, do them a favor and let them know about this place. It's perfect for a Breaking Bad sequel!

  Pretty funky in a retro way

  Good place for pets. Motel is right out of the 60's, with some upgrades. Covered parking. Workers on the highway project had quite a few of the rooms on a semi permanent basis.

  Cozy and quiet, very comfortable bed

  I drove up to Yreka to see neighbors in the Civil War reenactment mid May, not planning on an overnite. The mountain road was ghastly, as I did not realize my tires weren't balanced, so I thought it best to take a break before attempting the return drive. My 3 large dogs and I were given a comfortable king room at the back of the motel, which was quiet and close to the large dog area. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. Restaurants nearby closed at 7pm on saturday nite, so the town may keep early hours.
