    Nightmare experience

I could write ten reviews and would not be able to complete all the things that were wrong with this location. You can not let your dog anywhere except a tiny grass patch behind one building. Quite scary at night. The entire resort is off limits to my registered service dog. The property is huge but the dog isn’t allowed anywhere. The main restaurant with the view is closed. Room service was cold microwaved dishes so salty no one should consume them.

If you take a chance here, go pickup your meals. The room service food does not come from the bar or the one open restaurant at the country club. It was truly a nightmare experience here and we were told we could not leave the dog ( it’s policy and not allowed) so we had to cancel the rest of our trip. Upstairs is so loud forget sleeping. They did move us once but it was worse than the first room. So many corporate conventions and loud parties.

Someone left the door to the adjoining room unlocked and we had someone open it in the middle of the night and it was frightening! The dog woke me up immediately to see it shutting. We packed up everything and left immediately after the manager arrived. The manager, Alex, was good and said they would refund me. I will wait and see if they do. It was a terrible experience for a birthday. We should have stayed in Denver at The Art. They were incredible not just with me but amazing with my doggo! I will never go back to Colorado Springs again with her and definitely not there. They didn’t even want her in the lobby or near the beach. I would remove them from this site.

    Beware the facilities fee!

Clean, fancy place. However, beware you’ll be hit you with an extra $35 facilities fee/night (in the fine print of the BringFido site) at the desk upon check- in. If you’re into using a larger gym/ pool, then maybe it will be worth it to you.

    Pricey but Comfortable

While slightly pricey the level of comfort for us and our dog while traveling was worth the cost. My kids had a fun swimming in the hotel pools, we had a nice dinner in the restaurant, and everyone slept well. It's nice to have everything in one place. Plus the ability to leave the dog in the room while we used the resort amenities was great.

    Overpriced

The rooms were decent. The price has come down since my stay. Poor acoustic barrier between rooms. High resort fee for which I had no use and was not quoted in the listing. Great view. Decent area to walk the dog.

    Great place!

It was great to get away to such a beautiful resort and bring my dog! We were able to sit on the restaurant porch and enjoy a glass of wine one evening and breakfast the next morning. Restaurant staff was awesome and gave my dog a bowl of water and slipped him a little piece of bacon too!

    Wonderful Stay!

From the moment Kadie (my Scottie) and I entered the lobby, we were treated with amazing care! Kadie was lives in by many hotel employees. There were beautiful views and ample places to walk together! I would highly recommend.

    Not what I expected...

I was disappointed that the lake was closed and dogs were not allowed to walk around there. I had to pay resort fees for things I couldn’t use. Also, It took quite a long time to get food on the terrace. No one offered my dog water or treats the entire time I was there. We get better ‘dog service’ from other resorts and hotels. The resort is 4 miles or more from Cheyenne mtn state park. You can’t hike where the resort is. The country club has most of the area closed off for golfing and private use. This place wasn’t for us. We expected more hiking to be nearby. It’s a nice resort for older people looking to relax and drink on the grounds.
