The Holiday Chalet
The Holiday Chalet welcomes two dogs of any size for an additional fee of $20 per pet, per night. The Albert 1 Room, Alexandrina Room, and Alfred Room are not pet friendly, and dogs may not be left in the room unattended. There is a grassy relief area on the property. Cats are not accepted. For same day arrivals, please call 877‑411‑3436 to confirm availability of a pet-friendly room.

The Holiday Chalet has seen many faces over the years. Built in 1896, the mansion has evolved from being the Bohm Mansion, to an apartment house, a bed and breakfast, and since 2017, a Victorian Boutique hotel. Most rooms have their own kitchenette and all have private bathrooms. In March 2017, The Holiday Chalet was sold to "Suites IQ LLC". An international hospitality group who will be bringing the Holiday Chalet into the 21st century under a new brand.

- WilliamOct 14, 2019Walking on a ship at sea inside an old building
It's situated on a fully urban, busy, four lane street, across from a gas station and a very well lit billboard, and separated from a liquor store by an alley where the locals relieve themselves standing up against the walls. No parking on site. Park in nearby side streets. No front desk; it's an absentee operation. Door lock codes are emailed or delivered via voicemail. It's an old building that has been renovated some, and my room was furnished with flea market antiques. The wood floor was not level, creaked, and walking on it reminds you of walking on a ship whose motion is affected by waves. The small fridge was draped with a brick red cloth covering its cooling coils. Firetruck sirens and the alcohol fueled musings of the street people were heard through the night. There was an empty, gallon water or juice jug along with plenty of dust under the beds. The kindest thing one may say about the Holiday Chalet is that is has a misleading name and charm, in the way that realtors use that word.
