There was no pet amenity basket and limited space in front for dogs. The bottle of shampoo in the shower was empty, no microwave and we couldn’t get the TV to turn on. For a price of $200 for the night it was a big disappointment.

We really enjoyed this hotel and location. It's at the north end of Durango, so if you want to be able to walk downtown it's not your spot. If you want quiet, it is. Front desk was awesome, good breakfast with nice eating areas, plenty of small areas for your pooch to do his business, clean and nicely decorated.

Really comfortable and clean hotel with friendly staff (especially Amy at the front desk). The doggy area was on a steep rocky slope, though. So we made do with the strip of grass along the road.

Easy to find, dog areas around the building. Rooms are fairly large. Very pleasant. Good breakfast.

The staff was super friendly when I called to double check on having 3 dogs. Also super friendly upon check-in. Price for one room was the best in town! Room was very clean and updated. Breakfast was very good as well!

Stayed overnight following multi-day backpacking in the Weminuche. Took a room with sitting area; essentially a small suite. Max, my Airedale, was welcomed. Room was well laid out. Bed was comfortable, but then after five nights in sleeping bag, our standards may not have been overly critical. A/C was reasonably quiet and quiet efficient. Window view was meh, but again, no hotel was going to compare with our previous week. Max's "exercise" area was not intuitive, but after guidance, was sufficient. Did not require the non-existent courtesy poop bags. We all slept well. Excellent guidance from desk for a dog friendly restaurant. Check out at 11:00 but not rushed. We hung out in a front outdoor area, drank coffee in comfortable chairs before departing for lunch prior to driving to our homes (Denver and Phoenix). Only additions I could suggest would be provision of dog water dishes in the outside areas; provision of poop bags and poop depository; and, a more intuitively obvious "exercise" area. The fee, Max's room rate if you will, was $25 so Hampton could probably be a little more expansive. So, one bone off for what Hampton could have done. Overall, though, the desk help was gracious; the sleeping experience was excellent; and, the overall value proposition was quite good.

I would have given 5 stars, but we did not receive an amenity basket and there is not a good place to walk your dog during the summer as that area is grown up and not mowed.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel and will be happy to stay there again. It is totally Fido friendly, the room was beautiful and they are taking all Covid precautions. I felt safe staying there and am very glad I was able to visit. It is easy to walk the dogs around the hotel and the location is great. I needed the A/C every day so I’m very glad they have it.
