        Comfortable

We made a mad dash to FtCollins for personal reasons. We did not have time to find a pet sitter for our 2 big dogs.
The staff was wonderful, helpful, and very nice. I read the reviews before booking and was a little concerned about the location and safety.
The parking lot was well lit all around the building. I did not have a problem walking my dogs by myself.
The room was clean and updated.
The beds were comfy and the linens smelled clean.
The breakfast was probably the best I’ve had at a hotel.
I would definitely stay here again!

        Disappointed

The staff was friendly and very helpful, but it's in the middle of a renovation. The dog area was small and we couldn't get our boys to go. We had to walk around the area which is all industrial. Not accommodating at all for our pets. Maybe after they are done, it will be better.

        Good stay, good location

The hotel is close to the highway which is convenient when all you want to do is sleep after a long trip. The rooms were recently remodeled and look very nice and clean. The breakfast changes everyday which is nice to deviate from those monotonous breakfast at other hotels. Overall great stay for the price

        My Internal "Danger" Alarm Sounded

I did not feel safe here. This recently refurbished La Quinta was comfy on the inside but on the outside it was dimly lit. The door to the room was old and it stayed open. It would make for an easy escape for a pet. I did not see a pet area as described in the other review. In fact, all I found were beds lined with nothing but large rocks. My dogs did not want to toilet at all. I worried about my own safety while trying to encourage them because the lighting was so bad. Not only was I worried about the mugger lurking in the shadows but I worried about what excrement from some other leery traveler's dog I might be stepping in because they couldn't see it to pick it up. I lied awake all night long worrying about my personal belongings in the car, because I had no idea about the neighborhood. The breakfast was typical La Quinta fare but this location couldn't make it look inviting, especially after not sleeping at all. I give two bones to this review for the nice internal decor of my room and the comfy bed, but I won't be staying here again unless they torch the place and open in a new building.

        Apr 2014 Stay

We were traveling cross country with our golden retriever and our cat, and needed a place to stay near Denver. The room was nice, bed was comfy, I like the room ice-box cold when I sleep, and I was able to sleep comfortably, room was clean. The pet area is TINY. But there is an open field behind the hotel that is much bigger that we took our dog to. Friendly staff, decent breakfast, but the breakfast area really needed some work. Restaurant area was a little dirty and falling apart a bit. For the price we paid, the room met our needs, was functional, gave us a place to sleep, and welcomed our pets no problem. Would stay here again if needed.

        Sept stay

Our room was very clean, as was the bathroom which had been redone probably in the past six months. The room was a non-smoking room and we did not smell any smoke at all. The lobby and breakfast area were very clean, the carpets in the hallways were probably 1990s-ish. Very close to I-25 but it's kind of in the middle of nowhere so you can't walk down the street to pick up your Big Mac. Clean room, clean lobby, cheap price and no pet fee, what's not to like?
