Felt like the staff looked down on us for bringing our dogs. I felt that we were a nuisance. It is close to the creek trail for walking the dogs, which was nice. Think there are friendlier places to stay.

Staff were welcoming with the dog. Very good complimentary breakfast. Rooms were spacious, quiet, and good quality. Overall we had a very comfortable stay here. Also, nice river walk at the back of the hotel with free dog waste bags.

We've stayed in a few hotels or condo buildings in Vail, and this is our new favorite. Not only is the hotel itself great and conveniently located on the river in Vail Village, but it's great for our 2 large dogs. Many hotels in Vail have restrictions on size of pet, or only allow one dog. But Vail Mountain Lodge welcomed us all, and every time we came & went from the hotel, the lobby staff wanted to pet our dogs. The room that they gave us was perfect for dog owners, as it was at the very end of a hallway, so there were less people walking by our room to potentially cause our dogs to bark. It even had a fireplace in the room that our older dog loved. We will happily come back!
