Description

A blend of cool minimalism and warm tones, the Banneker’s design offers all the personal comforts of home with a highly curated selection of abstract art. Find the heartbeat of the hotel in its dining venues: the ground-floor French bistro, Le Sel, serves local flavors in a timeless setting, while upstairs, rooftop bar Lady Bird’s disarming indoor/outdoor perch encourages spontaneous connections under the stars while offering unfettered views of the landmarks that make the city so iconic.

    Ok for pets

Customer service was excellent while checking in or out and for anything else we needed. When we called they said they had a little green space for pets but it was just bark, no green anywhere near. A little dingy in finishings, paint etc. we asked for a bottom floor to make it easy to take two injured bulldogs who can’t go far, so we had to compromise for a ton of noise. Room was down the hall from the bar so there was extra noise there not expected for a Sunday or Monday night. They will charge you $25 each night for amenities you probably won’t use, so don’t be shocked there. Price was fair but not great for the location., stil a good walk to metro or anything else. Great location for whole foods and some good restaurants and bars.

    Weird and Wonderful

The rooms are so large! We brought our AmStaff for a three day weekend in DC and stayed here pleasantly. There are small parks nearby for pet relief, and there is a dog park not too far away. We brought an x-pen to gate off certain areas of the room and the pup was happy as can be. The rooms and furnishings are not brand new, but they are clean and interesting. This hotel is also in a great location.

    Very pet friendly, clean rooms

This hotel has a retro feel to it and a red theme. Our big (50 lb) dog was accepted no problem, easy check in/out process. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. We found parking nearby with a lower rate than the valet, but there is valet parking if you're not into that. There were lots of parks and grassy areas nearby that our dog liked, so that was convenient.

    Just ok

Paper thin walls. We were kept up well past 3am by a loud family with a very unhappy toddler...Our room on 3 was very dated and worn. Tiny bathroom but it did have great complimentary soap/shampoo & conditioner. What appears to be a retro-chic decor (think Atlantic City) could really use an update but the bed was clean and comfortable and the hotel is big dog friendly. We arrived exhausted and late at night, so we paid $50 to valet with the hotel. Fees and taxes drove the total price up significantly from the advertised price. Check-in/out was quick and painless as was the valet parking.
