  Excellent and good value

  The room was spacious, clean and bright. Hotel amenities included an outdoor firepit and small pool. Breakfast was included and generous. There was no closet, just a clothes hanging area, so can't give it 5 bones. But we highly recommend for those traveling with Fido.

  Very Helpful & Friendly Staff

  The staff was great! Breakfast was nice. The room was clean, but tired & a little beat up. The one thing I did not like is that a lot of rooms are rented to day laborers & it was Friday night, so they partied outside in the courtyard until 1:30 in the morning. I am pretty sure these guys aren’t paying the same daily rate that I did! Overall, it’s a good stop as long as it’s not a Friday!

  Fantastic place

  Excellent service, Chelsea and Kim at the front desk were wonderful. Mabel and Camillo were also fantastic. Can't wait to come back. Thank you to all the staff!

  Nice room

  The room was spacious and had hard surface floors. It was remodeled. The bathroom was small and very tight to get around the door. The grounds had grassy areas for the dogs. So-so breakfast.

  Great location and atmosphere

  Located near University of Central Florida and ten minutes from Historic Downtown Square. Hotel has been newly renovated with horse themed, charming black and white photography murals. Great pool area and a good breakfast. Our dog friendly room was roomy and nicely decorated and furnished. This will be our hotel of choice for future visits to Ocala.

  Clean Room

  The staff was friendly. Our room was clean and spacious. Our room was facing the busy street, so it was noisy all night. The neighbors in the rooms on either side of us, were talking outside on the balcony in the wee hours of the morning. But that is no fault of the hotel. There was a short, narrow strip of grass for the dogs to relieve themselves, but you couldn’t let them off leash to stretch their legs.

  Great stay but iPhone dead zone

  Great stay and will likely stop again on my way through but… BUT my iPhone, and navigation were useless once I got off 75. Make sure you aren’t completely reliant on iPhone navigation to get you to the hotel. The room was good and clean with plenty of grassy area for my doggo to do her business. Very close to plenty of food and entertainment options. All in all a good stay. If I’d had reliably decent phone service, it would have been great.

  Nice place, good location

  Nice place, had been updated & looks very modern. Had a good location with restaurants located nearby. Plenty of area to walk your dog, just not in the courtyard. Good breakfast. I had never heard of Equus so it was a pleasant surprise.

  Great Motel

  If you have pets, or even if you don’t, this is a wonderful place to stay! The hotel is clean, well-maintained, and has all the amenities you need. We travel with our 2 large dogs so finding a place can be difficult. There was absolutely no problem. There were plenty of grassy areas for my dogs and they even provide a poop-bag station! When I come to Ocala in Ocala, this is going to be my go-to motel. Just as aside, my husband, who is addicted to sports on TV said that he loved this TV as there was no delay in changing channels:). Something for everyone. Also in a great location for eating places!

  Great Dane Friendly!

  My 2 Great Danes (Artemis + Apollo) and I stayed at this hotel 10/27/22-10/28/22. This place was fantastic! No size/breed limits! My 2.5 year old Great Danes are 130 lbs each. Only $10/pet fee which is very good. The room was on the first floor with a private outside door facing their courtyard. They have a doggie relief area and a pool for the humans. It was $142 after fees + taxes, which I thought was good for Ocala. I would stay here again and again!

  Decent place

  Stayed two nights and this place. Perfect location around everything. My only complaint was the cleanliness. I don't think the room was cleaned before we arrived. It was pretty dirty. I did tell the front desk. Unfortunately our dogs were in the room and they were booked and were not able to clean the room later in the day.

  Best $111 we have ever spent at a pet hotel

  Clean overly spacious rooms. Walk out the door to pet area. Large parking lot so we could drone our 40’ MH with tow vehicle. Super breakfast. Wish we could take the hotel with us. Thank you so much 👍

  Perfect stay EXCEPT for the irresponsible dog owners

  Great location, great rooms, nice staff (and a lot of them), good breakfast and decent dog walk area BUT too many irresponsible dog owners let their dogs poop in other areas and did not clean up after their pets:(or in compliance with the pet policy they signed). Pets were welcomed, but I’m afraid the property may change their pet policy if guests don’t follow their policies. Our dog enjoyed the stay and so did we.

  Easy on/off I-75. Large room, quiet location, very clean. Very comfortable beds. Clean dog walking area. Good hot breakfast.

  Quality hotel

  Renovated 3 story hotel with beautifully landscaped grounds. Adequate areas to walk your dog, rooms with comfortable beds and hard surface floors, and a decent breakfast included. Rooms well decorated around horse theme so appropriate for Ocala. Great value.

  Work in Progress, Patience Necessary

  Don’t overlook the “in progress” cautions; eventually this should be a gem. A former budget hotel being reconstructed with far higher aspirations in real time means just that. Evidence of construction abounds. We arrived the Saturday prior to Super Bowl enroute to Michigan from Captiva, with reservation. Our greeting was friendly and we got upgraded to a poolside King Suite. This was not yet renovated, but the two rooms were huge, clean, but ready for a makeover. All OK. The grassy area in the surrounding neighborhood is great for Fido. Breakfast was adequate; the price and staff attitude were superb. Someday....
