    Pet Friendly

We came for a weekend getaway. Although we didn’t bring our pup this time, it was nice to know that this place exists. I would definitely stay here if and when I return to Orlando and had to bring my fur baby. So many people here with their dogs. We stayed in the tower and the rooms were carpeted which I don’t like, but it’s an easy elevator ride down to the first floor.

    Nice grassy areas, room so-so

The dog room I was in had carpet, and was quite stained (big negative) and was on the second floor with no elevator (difficult with a Frenchie I have to carry down). On the flip side, there was grass in lots of locations available. I would stay again just for the great outdoor area to take my dog but see if possible you can get a ground-floor room.

Nice place for a furry friend! Strange for a Doubletree

The room was nice, hotel staff accommodating and they didn’t charge a fee for my dog! The grounds and exterior of the building definitely needed a good cleaning. I would stay here again for the price and the ease of having my furry friend with me!

    Great location and nice resort.

We really enjoyed our stay...the roll was very comfortable and the resort was beautiful...we were even able to walk to Seaworld and back.

Make sure you get a room in the Tower

We checked in late our first night (10pm) Our room was in the villas and wasn’t at all what the pictures showed online. Our comforter was stained and/or dirty the floor hadn’t been vacuumed and had trash all over it. The countertops were discussing and not wiped or cleaned. The rooms were very outdated and worn. Our room only had 1 towel. I tried to call the front desk several time with no answer. I went up to the front desk the next morning and informed them of all of this and they said they had a problem getting all of the rooms ready in time. We got moved to the tower on the 9th floor. This room was nicer and most of all much cleaner. This is a very pet friendly resort so I do love that but I would be very cautious about staying in the villas and would recommend a tower room.

Large Resort at a Good Location

We were overall very pleased with our stay. The front desk was extremely accommodating to our needs, the pools were nice, there were several good options for dining, and there were plenty of places to walk the dogs. The beds were comfy, and the rooms were very quiet. Although I realize that this is Florida, and certain things can't be avoided, I could have done without seeing a rat on the fence by the family pool in the evening, and having an encounter with 2 large roaches (aka "palmetto bugs") in my room during our last night.

Went above and beyond even during the hurricane

My husband and my two dogs stayed here for Hurricane Irma. This was the last hotel that had availability and thank God that it was! This resort was beautiful and the customer service was great! They didn't price gouge or take advantage of anyone. They waived the pet fee for everyone! WHO DOES THAT?! This property could've made QUITE a bit from people because tons of people had their pets with them because they were there to get away from the storm but instead Doubletree was a true class act and decided to put quality above quantity. They had buffets available even when the weather was atrocious and they kept everyone feeling comfortable and welcome despite the vast amount of people that were there. I could think of a million ways the hotel could've been greedy and really profited off of this trying time but they did the complete opposite. They even had a "calm room" that had free popcorn and a large screen playing kids movies to help ease children's' nerves. They really went above and beyond and I was so so very happy to have stayed there. Will definitely stay there again, hopefully next time it won't be for a hurricane.

P.S. First time trying a Doubletree cookie and it was to die for! SO DELICIOUS!
