Reviews
- KristinaMay 8, 2024Basic and disappointing
We stayed here due to location to the aquarium and ability to bring our pup along. The “party” aesthetic and flashing lights in the elevator was different, but unique. Room was clean and quiet. We paid for one night that was supposed to include $32 for parking and breakfast which was just a bowl of cereal. There are dog poop pick-up stations around the parking lot but the only grassy area is in back by the dumpster and is not maintained. But you get what you pay for.
- AmandaSep 17, 2023Great location
The hotel is clean and reasonably priced. There is a small grassy area for potty breaks. The hotel is located walking distance from the State Farm and other major attractions.
- CatherineNov 24, 2022Just what I needed
In general the hotel was not great, but it was just what I needed as a single mom traveling with a toddler and dog. Two blocks from the Aquarium and no fuss.
- ReynaldoNov 5, 2022Great Location
I went to Atlanta last weekend for the League of Legends Finals and I booked an airbnb 4 months ahead of time in the downtown area. 30 minutes before I was set to check in the airbnb canceled on me and I needed a dog friendly place that would take bigger dogs (60# doberman). Not only did they take us in, but they were super great to the dog, one morning giving her like a pound of cooked bacon. Large parking lot and planted area behind the hotel (part of hotel) that is good for puppy bathroom breaks. Nice small gym, and underused so not an issue. Nice coffee area in the lobby. Will definitely stay again.
- MicheleJul 3, 2022Dusty and Aging
They are dog friendly and the desk staff were so kind. The hotel was cool when it was build but now it is old and dusty/dirty. The furniture is faded and dirty. The air conditioning is humid and pieced together in the room. I was so disappointed in the conditions.
- HOPEMar 27, 2022Excellent!
This hotel was just what we needed. It was clean, quiet, and very dog friendly. On the website it says up to 40 pound dogs are accommodated. I have a lab mix who is about 65 pounds, so I called and they told me it was fine to bring him. The staff gave my pup loads of love, treats, and we got a free poop bag holder. The parking lot has some green space with poop stations and the hotel is only a 4 minute walk away from Olympic Centennial Park, which was amazing for our morning walks. We will definitely be back.
- JenniferNov 2, 2021Not very clean
The room was ok. Not a lot of amenities for the price.
- CaitlinOct 26, 2021Everything we needed
No problems here. The room was everything we needed for one night while passing through. Didn’t feel like the safest neighborhood - my husband was approached and followed by a man down the street, the room had some broken shelves and the soap dispenser was empty in the shower. But no problems and our dog was right at home!
- LindaJul 19, 2021Good location with parking
Good location with parking.
- PriscillaJul 4, 2021Great location
Staff was awesome and extremely accommodating.
- LauraApr 11, 2021Pup friendly
Great location, very clean, every staff member we encountered were extremely nice. We would stay again without a doubt. Traveled with our 2 mini daschunds.
- JacquelynFeb 19, 2021Great Location
This was a fabulous place to stay for our pups very first hotel stay. Easy parking & walking distance to restaurants and the aquarium! My girls are already asking when we are going back
- AndreaJul 31, 2020You Get What You Pay For
I’m struggling to understand all the rave reviews about this place.
the first thing you should know, is it is apparently party central. The lobby and parking lot are full of 20 year olds drinking and smoking weed. I guess if that’s your thing, ok.
But, the room smells stale and it’s super dark and dingy. It isn’t nasty or anything, but I would never go out of my way to stay here again.
3 bones because staff was pleasant and it’s clean-ish. - AmyFeb 3, 2020Fabulous staff
Wonderful experience. Ease of elevator to potty dogs. Dog station outside too. Fabulous stay with my pugs!
- Juan-carlosJan 25, 2020Best Atlanta location
Treated Carma as if she were a family member!
- MarkJan 22, 2020Great one night stay
Hotel was neat, clean, orderly with a fantastic staff
- JordanDec 26, 2019Downtown dog
The Aloft is so welcoming and they have a nice safe place to walk the dog outside- even at 3am😳. We even took our pup to the AG steakhouse with us for lunch on Christmas Day.
- JessicaJan 31, 2019Great Stay!
We stayed two nights with our pup, Charley, and really enjoyed it. The staff gave him lots of attention! The hotel is very dog friendly and even allow the pups in the lobby and bar area (WXYZ Lounge). There are some grassy areas in the back parking lot for potty breaks. Pets currently stay for free!
- ValerieDec 30, 2018Enjoyed our stay
We were in town for a sporting event & had our 2 dogs with us. A Jack Russell and Rat Terrier/Chi-Chi mix. Water bowls upon entry. The staff love dogs and fawned over ours. You can go out thru the lobby or out the lower level to the back parking lot for walks and pottying. They have a station for waste bags and a receptacle. Not a lot of grass, but you are in down town Atlanta. Would stay again.
