The room was clean but run down. The door didn't meet the floor so cold air came in with a whistle; the toilet paper holder and security chain on the door were missing.

We didn’t even let our dog out of the car. We opened the hotel room door and it smelled horrible. There was trash and drug paraphernalia in the parking lot, along with a homeless camp. We asked for a refund and went to the Hilton across the street that is pet friendly also. The pictures are also not representative of the actual hotel.

It was cheap and I guess for a single night passing through on a tight budget that works. Nowhere to take dogs to potty. Trash everywhere. Not the safest area of town. We won't go back but if you just need cheap it'll work.

The hotel is a bit run down and in need of repair, and the pool was closed, but the room was clean and the staff was friendly. For the price (considerably less than competitors), it was a good deal I think. My dog and I were comfortable, it was a bit of a port in a storm, and I'd go back if needed a place again.

This facility is badly in need of a makeover -- tub discolored and peeling, painted areas were rough and dowdy -- that said, the room was clean and beds comfortable. Front staff pleasant and efficient. Continental breakfast a joke unless you like green apples and sugared cereal. Good thing they had oatmeal and grits and decent coffee. Best thing was walking the dog down a little country road connecting to the back of the property and seeing four deer including two young fawns.

The dog walk area we were told to use was on a hill, very trashy with full poop bucket and no one cleaning it up. Found another small area, but too small for the size of the motel. Owners' responsibility to clean up but clearly no staff cleaning either. Pet friendly rooms on the 3rd floor with outside stairs with broken concrete treads and filthy elevator. Bag breakfast. What looked like food crumbs left behind in the dressing/sink area.

Our dogs were freaked out all night. Woke up to bugs in my bags. The bed was squishy, smelled like corn and the alarm was going off next door all night !

Still had food and beer in the fridge from previous guest..... No hot water at the sink......shower did not work..... Coffee maker didn't work. Not a true la quinta hotel.

La Quinta is very hit or miss.some locations are new and beautiful...some are old and worn. Sadly, this location was the latter. The room was less than clean. There was something spllilled down the front of the night stand that could have been jam or could have been blood. No idea which it was. The bathroom has mold around the tub and the shower head was at about shoulder height, making the shower a challenge. The water was also quickly cycling from blazing hot to icy cold for no reason. The pet area was right by the pool, which was pretty busy and the trash cans we're overflowing with empty pizza boxes and other assorted garbage. All in all, it was good enough in a pinch, but not very good.

FILTHY room. Long hairs on sheets and on the walls of the shower. Rotten food in the mini fridge. Not fit for a dog! Had to go to the front desk to get towels and toilet paper. (Seriously?!) Icing on the cake, the manager was pissy about our dog. He’s a 45-48lb, , obedience trained, pure bred and we were here due to a hurricane evacuation. We were already very stressed. Her attitude was not appreciated. Sheraton across the street was happy to have us...AND our well-behaved dog!
DIRTY! NOT FRIENDLY to man or beast!
