This place is a dump. Parking area and everything on the property was unkept and dirty. We saw 2 hypodermic needles at the edge of the grass, where we were supposed to walk our dog. There were a number of people meandering in the parking lot and around the hotel and we felt very uncomfortable. I couldn’t imagine having to possibly get up to walk our dog in the middle of the night in this environment. I told the desk person that we had to leave and to please return my $, as this hotel was “non refundable. I can see why, as I don’t know why anyone would stay at this property once they saw it. He said he’d check to see if they could do that and get back to me. Never hears a thing. I felt unsafe for both my wife and our 10 month old puppy, who could have stepped on one of those needles. We’ve used Fido many times to find restaurants where our dog is welcome, but this was only the 2nd time we used it to select a hotel. We typically stay at Marriott properties, where I’ve stayed in excess of 2200 nights, along with about 1000+ at other chain and independent hotels all over the world. This is the first time in my life that I’ve ever voiced this type of complaint.
