  A one night stay after long road trip. We were pleased with service, suggestions, clean room, breakfast and safe area. All dogs were well supervised by their owners. Lots of grass for dogs and pets bags and disposal. Good location and price.

  This hotel was not only clean & comfortable, but the breakfasts was beyond any "usual" breakfast! And the front desk lady who checked us in the evening we arrived is a true pet lover; we chatted a nice long while about her pets & ours. We felt like we were staying with family - human & pet!

  Front desk clerk was very friendly. Room was clean and bed was comfortable, quiet surroundings. Hot breakfast. Our only suggestion would be to replace carpets with vinyl or similar floors (please note the room did NOT have any odor, it’s just easier when traveling with pets). We would stay here again.

  This hotel is an old renovated La Quinta hotel. The area where you walk your dogs was a minefield of dog poop piles. Bags and bins were provided, but they were not used. Challenging to get a dog to go potty with several feral cats in the ‘hood. Rooms were okay but overall cleanliness was a 2. The price is right - you will save $. But if cleanliness is a priority, do yourself a favor and pay more!

  We have stayed here several times over the last few years. Always clean and friendly but this time the breakfast was upgraded with fresh eggs and sausage plus a few other menu items. Our dogs love the place.

  We stayed here two nights as we were visiting friends in the area. It is conveniently located just off 95. There was no extra fee for our dog, and room was clean and on the first floor for easy access. Breakfast area was clean and food was fine. Will stay there again when in the area.

  Nice Hotel with plenty of grass to walk dogs. The room had furniture as well as a fridge and microwave. The room we were in was carpeted and the water pressure was good in the shower. Bed was very comfortable and the A/C kept us cool all night as well as blocking noise from outside.

  Made this reservation at the last minute. Convenient to I-95. It's an older property but the room was clean and comfortable. Places for the dog to be walked. Many dogs of all sizes staying there. No ridiculous pet fees and the rate was good. Perfect for stopping overnight on a road trip. Staff was also very friendly.

  I stayed here years ago when it was a La Quinta undergoing renovations and was not impressed. It is completely different now, with new modern furniture, lighting, carpets and one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in! The staff were kind to the pups who had plenty of space to roam outside. Also located close the the interstate and an Electrify America station. Highly recommended for an accessible stay with your pups!

  The room was really small and hard to navigate in without falling over something, dog, dog bed etc. Not really suited for dogs. There was a Cracker Barrel right next door however which was convenient. Also room was really quiet except for hum of I-95 traffic.

  Terrible from start to finish. Check-in person was not very pleasant. The room had only 2 small towels, 1 tiny bar of soap(nothing in shower) and no shampoo. The water pressure was low and no hot water! In addition the shower curtain smelled like mildew. The TV was not functioning properly.

  Hallways look disgusting but the rooms are clean. We have stayed there in our travels with our dog 4 times in the past 5 weeks. This last time the beds were not comfortable but we have had no complaints previously.

  Last minute booking. We ended in the "2-room" suite with a King Bed on the first floor---not sure where the second room was, but the hotel was clean, neat, bedding and pillows were clean and comfortable. I would recommend this spot and our Corgi was also very comfortable. Lots of grassy spots around the hotel.

  A Tail of Two Hotels

  An odd all around experience. Front desk only provided one key upon check in and advised to everyone waiting they were short on keys. Fifteen minutes later while in the lobby the same desk agent was handing out 2 keys. I had locked my key in the room and the agent had to leave the front desk to let me in my room? There was hot water at the sink in the room but no hot water in the shower. The breakfast area was a mess, there appears to be no attendant or someone to spot clean when needed. There are grassy areas for the fur kids on the side and between the hotel and Cracker Barrel. The property is updated, but there is a disconnect between various aspects.

  The hotel smelled nice, was clean, and felt quite safe. We had to call the front desk for toiletries (there were none in the bathroom) and they were out of conditioner altogether, but they brought us what they had right away and with apologies. Breakfast was lovely.

  Checked in with two very friendly receptionists, who loved talking about my puppy. The room was very clean and roomy. Plenty of space to walk the dog. No scrambled eggs at breakfast, but for under $100 (+ tax), this was an excellent choice!

  Our room was nice, but the rest of the hotel needed a deep clean. The hall carpets were seriously stained. The worst part was the entrance. There were hundreds of cigarette butts and lots of trash all around the front entrance. We are staying somewhere else on the way home.

  Exactly as advertised and really pleasant stay at Wingate with our fur babies. Staff was wonderful and very polite. Plenty safe and enough dog potty area; took doggos outside at 4am and was just fine and safe. Extra perk: Cracker Barrel right next to parking lot. Room didn't have a shower curtain, but might have been a mistake by room management.

  Carpet peeling away from floor, rusty fixtures in bathroom, bedsheets worn and unclean, sticky doorknobs. All in all, a horrible stay. But for great staff that could do nothing to remedy the situation, we'd give it zero bones.

  We had a pleasant stay at Wingate. My favorite aspect was the ample green grassy walking areas for the dogs. It is located at the end of a busy road and backs up to a quiet residential neighborhood. Our room on the first floor was very clean with everything we needed to be comfortable. We had a good night's sleep. We could not hear noise from outside or other rooms. The coffee was exceptional. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Location right off of 95 was convenient. Staff was friendly and efficient. We will stay here again on our frequent journeys to Florida.

  Used the BringFido app for the first time with my pup and it did what I needed it to do. Just needed a place to crash for the night while traveling and splitting the trip in two. The staff was friendly, there was plenty of areas to walk my dog and a Cracker Barrel right next door to grab food. The room was updated and clean. Would I stay here for longer than 8-10 hours to eat and sleep, no; but to just stop off 95 for a bed, then this is the place to go. Thank you for this app and the nice dog friendly hotel!

  The good stopped at the nice lady that checked me in and that there was plenty of places to take my dog out to go to the bathroom. The hallway on the second floor stunk like marijuana, the room smelled enough that my wife put Clorox wipes in the AC vents to make it smell better. The bathroom was moldy and we found a dead bug on the vanity. Luckily it was a quick stop on our way to Florida so we were in and out pretty quickly. If it would have been longer I would have been very upset and complained more.

  The person working when I checked in was not nice and the first room had fridge issues and the second room smelled bad, the a/c ran all the time and looked dirty. I cleaned the room with my cleaning products. They wanted to move me again to another floor but my greyhound is going blind and cannot do stairs or elevators. I could not take the smell more than one night. The lady at hotel was nice enough to give me a refund because of the assistance from BringFido, and let me leave. Won't stay there again.

  Newer remodeled room, clean, great comfy bed & bedding. Monica at the front desk is delightful. Only issue is that newer carpeting in our room smelled heavily of urine. We were so tired & didn’t want the hassle of changing rooms. Monica was always busy with a check in or on the phone when I would pass & think to mention it. I bought deodorizer from Cracker Barrel & sprinkled some perfume to help.
  I personally would recommend hotels who want to be pet friendly to remove carpets from the designated rooms to avoid this problem. I had to watch my dog carefully & even put her in her carrier so she wouldn’t feel she too had to mark her place. Other than that we liked it & walk across the parking lot to Cracker Barrel was a big plus, as well as the big area to walk your dog. Very clean and very large.

  Don't judge a book by its cover

  I'm new to the BringFido app. We have two dogs and I needed a place to stay along the way. Found this app, took a chance and so glad I did. The hotel on the outside was a little sketchy looking but from the moment I walked in and was greeted by Daniel, the front desk concierge, I felt at home. Our room was clean and updated and we all felt comfortable. Bonus was Cracker Barrel is right next door. (Service was a bit of a wait but worth it). I would not hesitate to book here again.

But why would they wait for you to check in without informing about water shut off at 9am next morning?? Would’ve not even known except for sign in elevator. Seems like purposely done when most guests want to shower.

  The hotel is a bit run down but in a good location. We had trouble with the thermostat and the room became very warm. Breakfast during COVID underwhelming.

  We stayed here over the holiday. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. There was a basic grab and go breakfast due to coronavirus and the pool was closed but that was okay. We heard other dogs at times and encountered a few being walked outside the hotel. We stayed here because of it's close location to st simons island beach which is dog friendly (off leash!). My dog absolutely loved it. This hotel is about 25 minutes from there and much cheaper than the closer hotels so I didn't mind the drive. It's a quiet area with homes nearby and a couple restaurants. Front desk is staffed 24 hours. I felt safe walking my dog at all hours.

  Good dog hotel

  Great stay. Lots of green space and 3 poop bag stations (2/3had bags). Breakfast was week but that was due to COVID. We stayed on Christmas Day with limited staff but everything was clean.

  No soap or tissues in room. One light fixture was unplugged and another had a bulb that didn’t work. Outside lighting was so bright it interfered with sleep. There continental bkfast was a muffin and a bagel with no cream cheeses or butter available.

  Could have been great

  Location great, restaurants around great, hotel condition sufficient. Unfortunately the hotel had overbooked and when we arrived after a long day of traveling the only room left was a double we booked a king, and it had clearly been smoked in. It was also on the third floor, Which does not make dog walking ideal.

  I don’t normally give bad reviews, but our room was very musty. Furniture was old style. Carpet yucky in room and hallway. We learned that if we want better accommodations with our dog, we should pay more - including a pet fee.

  Bone-a-fide location!

  Recently spent a long weekend here and was pleasantly surprised by the attention to canine comforts and responsible pet owners. The staff was very friendly. The accommodations were very clean and the bed was so comfy. We met several pets and their owners on our floor yet never heard barking or ruff housing. The potty stations and pet walking areas were well maintained. We will definitely stay here again when traveling to south Georgia.

  Hotel was nice, beds were small and comfy. You couldn’t hear other dogs bark in your room, but there were fleas in the room. I’m not very concerned for my animals since they have preventative care, but us humans were bitten up.

  The hotel is located right off I-95. Used to be a La Quinta. Great service and a nice pet area. Right next to a Cracker Barrel. Will stay there again.

  We had a great night at the Wingate. The room was comfortable, clean and roomy. Pam at the front desk took good care of us. Dinner at the Sunrise Diner was a special surprise.

  Ok — Very Dog Friendly

  Rooms basic — no tissues; one chair. Could smell smoke in a non-smoking room. Saw at least ten dogs staying at the hotel which was no problem. Only restaurant options within walking distance were Cracker Barrel and a self-serve brewery. No hot water in the morning. Probably won’t stay here again.

  The pick of the litter

  When we make our annual migration south from the cold northeast, we depend on BringFido to find us safe, clean, and pet friendly lodging along the way. It certainly worked this time.
  After a long travel day, we picked this hotel based on the reviews here. We were met at the desk by a very pleasant woman who made you feel welcome right away. Room was clean, up-to-date, and comfortable. The bed was great and we had the best nights sleep since starting our trip. Never heard any other dogs and ours slept well too.

  Have stayed here a few times now with our 2 dogs. Good location off 95 with lots of food options within walking distance. Hotel has been remodeled. Very friendly front desk staff.

  We were very favorably impressed by our stay at the Wingate by Wyndham in Brunswick, GA. The front desk staff were ALL extremely polite, and pleasant to interact with! The room was spotless and very comfortable, and everything worked perfectly! The location was centrally located for all of the places in and around Brunswick that we visited over the weekend. We would definitely stay here again. I appreciated the fact that there was NO additional pet charge for our Yorkie. This is now OUR hotel for when we come back to visit Brunswick, which we will be doing because relatives live here.
