Was Sleep Inn years ago, now a Wingate. They honored the reservation but hotel is in transition. Housekeeping and organization is suffering. Cleanliness suffered. Room floor could not have been vacuumed. Room very basic. No wall fixtures for toilet paper. Roll on top of toilet. Army barracks do better.

My husband and I stopped here for a night on our way to Key West from Ohio and then again on our way back, and our 65-pound pup was welcomed both times. The location was convenient, the rooms were fine, and the free breakfast was just what we needed to grab a quick bite in the morning before resuming our travels.

Although the hotel is nice, they allowed an unattended barking dog to be left in the room next to me. This hotel is right off the freeway and it’s a place people who are just passing through for the night to get some shut eye and get on the road again in the morning. I would guess most people just want some shut eye…it’s not a resort. So, after driving for 15 hours, I was tired, it was 8:30 at night. That dog barked non stop for two hours straight and I had to turn up the volume on my tv to drown it out.
I asked the front desk about it and all he said was “It’s a dog friendly hotel.” Maybe they need to make it a policy that barking dogs can’t be left alone. I’m quite sure the people had gone out for dinner or drinks but it made it very unrestful for the the rest of the folks staying there. I even heard someone knocking on their door to see if anyone was in there so no, I wasn’t the only one upset.

We have stayed in this hotel before. Although the hotel is basic it has some nice touches. There were cookies and popcorn for guests in the lobby. Game boards were available too. Staff was friendly and rooms were clean. Perfect for our needs!

Does this place allow dogs? Yes! And they have a clean “potty” area for them. Is this hotel clean? Yes!

You need to work on pricing. Site says $54. Then it is $76 dollars and dog fee is $20 more. By the time you are done $54 has morphed to over $100

We had a nice stay. Friendly staff. Nice and clean. The breakfast was standard, but well done.

The hotel is nice and right off I-95 so easy on/off and several restaurants around it. Room/bathroom clean and the bed was comfortable. Small dog designated grass area to the side of building beside the outdoor grill area. The doggie bag dispenser was out of bags but I had my own. Parking lot very well lit and cameras around outside. Will stay again on my way to/from OBX area. I just had my one Maltese and he was very comfortable.
