  Immaculate Room

  Traveling from MN to St. Simons Island. Stayed overnight because we remembered a pleasant stay here last year. Pet friendly, nice, grassy inner courtyard for dogs, includes poop bags and garbage can. Immaculate room and hallways. Large, well-stocked breakfast buffet (fresh fruit!) with hard-working and friendly attendant. Recommended! Recycling options in room would be a welcome addition.

  Perfect for quick trip

  It was perfect for what I needed. Right off the highway. Quick stop on my way from Chicago to FL. Free breakfast offered more than I expected. Small areas of grass inside a courtyard so that worked fine for the quick stay.

  Okay

  Very outdated hotel. Dog walk area was full of poop and out of bags, luckily I brought my own. The place had an awful smell that wasn’t animal related. Bed and bathroom was clean.

  Dog friendly hotel

  Rooms are very clean, very dog friendly with nice grass area by pool to walk dogs. Breakfast was hit and good with many choices, though you do need to be an early riser. Cost was very reasonable.

  They take pets

  I stayed here as a stopover from FL to NC. The hotel is decent but rather old. Unfortunately I asked for a quiet room but was placed next to the entry door and stairs to second floor. The bed was uncomfortable for me, but I’m a senior. The hot breakfast was very good and that made up for a lot. There was adequate green space to walk my dog. It cost $185 for one night with two pets.

  Great fit for our trip. Easy access, clean room, nice hot breakfast and the inside grassy courtyard was a special treat.

  Good for a quick stop

  I’d say good for a quick stop for a night's sleep while traveling. Room was a little musky but appeared clean. Would stay again, especially if it was just for a quick 9 hr stop.

  No frills but fine for an overnight stay. Pets welcome but if traveling alone, good luck figuring out how to eat breakfast and still take care of them.

  Very pet friendly!

  The Best Western Riverside in Macon was a nice find! Friendly staff, great large area for dogs to do their business outside, poop stations too. The motel is a little dated, but well taken care of, and very friendly staff. We will be back. Thank you BringFido for the referral!

  Happy puppy

  I enjoyed our stay here. We usually travel by RV and the last time we stayed in a hotel with our dog it was a disaster. The room was clean and spacious. I liked the flooring in absence of carpets. Since we were in an all-pet area and close to the interstate, I expected a lot of noise but it was perfectly quiet. There was a nice grassy area for my pup and the breakfast was one of the nicest I've had. Lots of dining choices nearby as well. Staff was friendly. Price was right. Highly recommend.

  Perfect Rest Stop

  Great spot! Clean, friendly, quiet, grounds were perfect for walking our dog. Great park nearby and tons of dining options. The hotel is older, but clearly attention is being paid to the upkeep and cleanliness that far out shines many newer hotels. All in all, perfect spot in our travels for us and our dog.

  Bring On The Dog!

  We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at Best Western Macon on our way home to Tennessee. The room was very clean and comfortable. On the way from Tennessee down to Florida we stayed at another hotel/motel and the comparison with Best Western was very poor. Thanks for NOW a perfect place to stay on our visits to Florida.

  Good option…except

  If only we were not bombarded with 3rd hand smoke, this would be an exceptional place to stay. Clean room, comfy bed, amazing breakfast and we liked the LVP floors—this felt cleaner for a dog room. All non smokers are on the first floor w carpeted halls and they stand outside to smoke from our room. The stench is horrible and hard on allergies let alone the known cancer risk. Why not a wing of the hotel for nonsmokers? Good place to walk and trash cans easy to find for disposal. Almost perfect minus the one huge issue.

  Great stay but A/C dirty

  Very friendly places and lots of space for dogs to roam. Excellent breakfast. The A/C unit in the room ass covered in black that looked like mold. I had to wipe it down to feel ok to stay.

  Clean room

  We always stay here with the dogs on our way through town. The flooring is new and hardwood so it’s nice and clean. They have a good breakfast and grass for the pups!

  Sketchy area

  We got in very late at night and left early the next morning. Room had bugs in it and there is a rowdy bar right next door, so lots of people outside late at night. My dogs were nervous and up most of the night from people in the hallway.

  Very comfortable

  We spent one night at this hotel while traveling from Florida to Illinois. It was a delightful surprise! There is ample parking. The room was very comfortable and clean! There is a lovely courtyard area by the pool with plenty of grass for our baby to do her business! There is also a lounge next door that allows you to bring drinks back to your room. We ordered take out dinner from Applebees, down the street. Breakfast was delicious! Eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy! Plus, waffles, cereal, and fruit. It was the best free breakfast we have ever eaten at a hotel! This hotel is nothing fancy, but, we highly recommend it!

  Barking dog

  Dog was left alone in the adjoining room. Barked for 1 1/2 hours until people came back. They were loud and drunk at 1am. We had to b up at 5am to drive 6 more hours. Very inconsiderate and the desk called their room to no answer and did nothing else. Room was beautiful and clean. Breakfast was good.

  Nice courtyard area

  Dog walk area is in the courtyard by the pool and gazebo. It was a little uncomfortable to have our dog do its business while people were swimming and enjoying themselves however, I felt safe as it is mostly enclosed and well lit. I would prefer something a little more private area though. Our room was clean and comfortable. A nice bonus was the free complimentary breakfast. I was able to fill up plates with eggs, sausage, biscuits, and fruit for myself and my husband and bring it back to our room.

  Beautiful hotel

  The room was perfect! Smelled great and clean! Loved the pool, one suggestion would be to have a dog pool too. I will return on my next trip.
