- GinaJan 25, 2024Perfect
Everything is always perfect when we come here! The rooms are beautiful, the parking is easy, the people are friendly, and my dog even gets a gift bag.
- SallieNov 27, 2023Very Dog Friendly
We had a great time in Savannah and staying at the East Bay Inn. Lots of dogs with their owners. The Inn is in a historic building but everything is easy access.
- MariOct 19, 2023Most Beautiful Hotel Ever!
The staff was beyond excellent! Made us, and our 2 pups, feel so very welcomed! The building, as well as our room, was perfect for the historical district - was absolutely gorgeous! Spotless clean. Included a mini-fridge and Keurig coffee maker, bottles of water, popcorn, dog treats, poop bags and toy. Also a map of all pet friendly restaurants and stores. They even provided earplugs since they're right on busy street but we didn't need them because we travel with a small sound machine. Excellent location within easy walking to many places Savannah is known for. William recommended B. Matthew's Eatery only 1 block away and it was outstanding. We ate on the patio with three pups and they loved it too. We ate there several times! This will be our go-to hotel every time we return to Savannah without a doubt. Not the cheapest place but it's easy to see why not - it's worth every dime!
- BrendaOct 13, 2023Room with private patio
This is a lovely hotel. We were welcomed with wine in the lobby and a doggie bag of goodies for our boy. The coffee was delicious and the staff was very accommodating and welcome. We got the room with a private patio but our boy would not do his business out there as there was no green. There was a good size grassy park like area across the street which worked just fine. Our room was unique and interesting, we enjoyed staying there. Bed was comfortable.
- LisaAug 22, 2023Beautiful place and dog friendly except
the only except is there was nowhere close to walk with my dog to eat that was dog friendly so that’s why I gave her four bones instead of five but everyone was very nice there in the hotel was beautiful
- MontyJul 27, 2023On the road again
Nice place, staff pleasant. a bit pricey.
- ConnieJul 9, 2023Great location
We stayed 2 nights on our way up north. The hotel was clean & historic. The staff was very friendly & treated our fur baby great! We would definitely stay again!
- B.May 3, 2023Lovely Hotel
Beautiful room, clean, and spacious. Walking distance to everything. We received a goody bag for the pooch that included a map of places to eat and shop that are dog friendly. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
- KenMar 26, 2023Great Hotel!
This was our first visit to Savannah and we loved it! The hotel is very charming and the room was fabulous! Not your typical hotel room. You feel like you’ve stepped back in time with the wood floors, high ceilings and antique furniture. The room was huge! Loved it and we’ll definitely be back! The dogs loved all the room too! The only reason it doesn’t get 5 bones is the TV was so small. I think my iPad has a bigger screen! 😆 Other than that, two thumbs up!! All the staff were also very friendly and helpful!
- NancyFeb 18, 2023Wonderful location
Everyone was so pleasant and accommodating. Lots of walking area. Room had a patio. Great hotel.
- SharonDec 30, 2022Great location and room
Staff was fabulous and very dog friendly. Loved the historic location.
- GraceDec 23, 2022Super dog friendly!
We couldn’t have asked for a better location. Loved the welcome bag for our dog and very friendly staff as well. Only complaint was the bed was very uncomfortable. But location and accommodations were otherwise great.
- ConorDec 12, 2022Best stay of our road trip
We can’t say enough about East Bay Inn. Perfect location and our room had a patio where we could hang with our pup. They gave us a dog welcome bag with a dog map on where to go in town. All the staff were so friendly! This place is the definition of dog friendly.
- LaurieDec 9, 2022Great hotel
Friendly staff and beautiful rooms!
- DanMay 15, 2022Great Hotel for Dogs
Some hotels have made us feel they would rather not have our dogs but not East Bay Inn. Upon our arrival they were greeted with a doggie welcome bag that included tasty treats. The staff were all pleasant and several would greet our dogs by name. We will definitely stay again when we visit Savannah again.
- ElizabethMar 3, 2022Great location, huge room
People could not have been nicer, more hospitable. Bed very very comfortable. Room was huge and easily fit our 2 big dogs, their crates, and us.
- DeAnnJan 30, 2022East Bay Inn
We enjoyed our stay! The staff was very welcoming to dogs. They had a doggy gift bag waiting for us. The room was clean and spacious. There was grass across the street that made for an easy time taking him out. Overall, a great experience!
- JanetJan 16, 2022Friendly Staff, Comfortable Accommodations
I really enjoyed my stay here. It was convenient and nicely appointed. My dog and birds were happy!
- JillNov 21, 2021Great location
Nice hotel but do NOT recommend if light sleeper! We barely got any sleep the 4 nights we were there. Traffic is loud and you can here room above like they are in your room.
- EricSep 22, 2021Historic Hotel, Nice Place
Nice historic hotel with 1st floor rooms that have private courtyards. This is a good stay if you are looking to stay in a historic building without a lot of frills. We stayed here one night on our way down to FL and for that it’s good but if you are staying for multiple days exploring the city and have a dog that barks (what dogs don’t) then find somewhere else to stay. Only complaint was that we couldn’t really go out to eat or do anything because the front desk was calling about my dogs barking after only 20 minutes telling me to come back.
- PattyJul 30, 2021Great Location
Beautiful place! The employees were all so kind! Our labradoodle just LOVED the treat bag! We’d definitely return here again!!!
- AnneJul 22, 2021Fantastic hotel!
We recently stayed at this hotel and couldn’t have been more pleased. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful, and treated our dog so well! We will stay here again!
- JenniferJun 25, 2021Super dog friendly
Our girls loved jumping from bed to bed, super high ceilings so we didn’t feel crowded and extra benches to set our luggage. Such a gorgeous historic feel at the hotel. Lots of parks (squares) to take dogs for bathroom breaks, but Savannah is a city foremost- and there was a church building behind the hotel so homeless congregate in the mornings. By afternoon can easily take dogs to the squares. There is a close & secure parking garage a block away and when departing just pull up behind the hotel for a quick pickup of your luggage. Free water and sodas and snack offerings for your pooch. Ground floor made for easy access to the grassy park across the street.
- DavidJun 24, 2021Wonderful location
What a wonderful stay. The check in was smooth, lovely high ceilings in the rooms and charming feel to it. Couldn't ask for a better location with fantastic bar and breakfast restaurant in the complex. Highly recommended for people traveling with our without pets. But if you happen to bring your pet, they are treated like royalty worth fun gift bags and treats!
- JenniferMay 19, 2021Great!
Awesome hotel, charming, great location, and they were super sweet to my dog.
- AndrewMay 12, 2021East Bay Inn is our new go-to spot when in Savannah
Our 1st time staying here and our two shih tzus joined us. The staff is one of the most memorable hotel staffs that I encountered. Their customer service was phenomenal. They answered many questions about the area. I brought food home for my wife and the room had no microwave. The desk clerk warmed the food in a microwave they had in the back. The dogs got a welcome bag with treats and a walking map of puppy friendly places and historical sights. The conveniently located free parking is truly a bonus in Savannah. The rooms are beautiful with super high ceilings and are well equipped and furnished. We get to Savannah often and this will definitely be our new go-to inn in Savannah.
- GabbieMay 8, 2021Cute old hotel at a great location
We booked kind of at the last minute, as we were passing through Savannah just for the evening, and this was pretty much our only choice in the part of town we wanted to see. It ended up being a really lovely hotel with a lot of charm in the perfect area to walk around to shops and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and as far as i could tell there was no additional pet fee that we had to pay (we booked through bring Fido.) our room was clean and very cozy, I loved the tall ceilings and area to walk around the room without feeling cramped like so many modern hotels. Bay Street is pretty busy, but it’s easy to cross to reach a cute grassy park area and the river front which was a nice place to take a walk. There are lots of dog friendly restaurants in the area as well, we had no trouble finding somewhere to eat very nearby. The hotel itself is very old and of course there were other pups staying there, so it’s not exactly a quiet place. There is a lot of noise that can’t be helped - thin walls and old creaky floors, plus the traffic outside, but for me this was understandable considering the age of the building and the part of town we were in. Overall we really liked staying here and so did our pup.
- AmandaMay 1, 2021Lovely stay
recently stayed here while visiting Savannah. we had a nice King patio suite. staff were friendly and always had cold drinks available at the front desk (as well as coffee). A park was across the street which was convenient for our 1 year old Westie. This was close to the river board walk which has lots of restaurants and extremely dog friendly. we’d definitely stay again.
- MargaretApr 21, 2021Loved it!
Dog friendly is an understatement. Fab hotel even without a dog. Definitely will stay again.
- BrendaApr 5, 2021Awesome!
The location is so convenient, and the hotel is beautiful and spacious. I love the extra touch; dog treats and a map of dog friendly locations around town. We will definitely be back.
- JeffreyApr 4, 2021Exceptional service!
The East Bay Inn was nothing short of phenomenal for my family and our 1.5 year old Siberian Husky. The location, amenities, quality of hotel, and especially the pet friendly accommodations could not have been better!
- SuzanneMar 30, 2021Excellent choice!
Great choice for one night stay with our dog in Savannah. Queen room with patio was beautiful, convenient on 1st floor and patio nice for fresh air for our pup. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Nice pet gift bag too!
- JillMar 27, 2021Near everything!
Beautiful room, downtown location, walk to everything. Loved our stay in Savannah and our dogs did too! Expensive but we knew this and wanted a little too spurge a bit!! Would return!
- MichelleMar 9, 2021Great location
Beautiful room and lobby, friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again
- TriciaMar 1, 2021East Bay Inn
Lovely historic hotel with great service. Very friendly and good location. Dog friendly. Hope to return!
- PhilipJan 4, 2021Awesome in every way!
Incredible service, great rooms and location beyond belief! East Bay Inn is one of the best hotels on our list!
- EileenSep 19, 2020Lovely hotel
Most accommodating. A park across the street for dog walking. Just great. Wish we could have stayed another night.
- AmyJul 7, 2020Great location
We had a great time. The first night the 4 legged kids had to settle so we didnt do much. The motel is close to the water and shops. Great places to eat. Ate at a French cafe for breakfast because the wait for 2 cracked eggs was 45 mins. Both places would be a good choice. Had a dinner at an Indian place around the corner kinda from the hotel called naan. Soooooo good. There are so many cool places to see by the water and then in the town. The area is like 8 mile block so plenty to see. Parking was kinda pricey I still dont understand the options completely. You can park for 10 buck but if u take it out u have to pay another 10 bucks. 16 bucks to take car out as many times as u want. U can also park in small lot outside but we never saw any open spots. Have fun and enjoy the sights.
- BruceJun 22, 2020Friendly staff nice hotel
Great location. Nice hotel. Very doggie friendly.
- AmberJun 9, 2020Great area for pets!
The city as a whole seemed so dog friendly, and East Bay Inn was no exception. They all loved my blue heeler and it made for an excellent first vacation with my dog!
- JoanFeb 21, 2020Review
it was a great place to stay...........everyone there was helpful and kind! Plus we loved our room.
- RobertFeb 17, 2020Recently refurbished
We have stayed at East Bay several times over several years. The location is great and staff has always been friendly. Rooms have a lot of charm, and we were pleased to see new sofas and chairs in the lobby, our room, and in the foyer on the second floor. Very pleased the management is taking steps to see that this historic property does not feel tired.
- RoyceDec 23, 2019Wonderful Inn
Great staff and room was spectacular. You park car right next to to lobby door and walk to everything. We will be back.
- CarrieOct 30, 2019Friendliest pet hotel
This has been the friendliest pet hotel by far. They greeted us and our dog each time we came into the lobby. The staff made sure our stay was comfortable and hassle-free. We were traveling with bikes. A staff member (Ernest) noticed we had a flat and offered to get it repaired for us during our stay. Our dog was able to stay in the room unattended. We had our privacy tag up & upon return, housekeeping had left a bag of fresh towels, waters, soap, &shampoo/cond. We thought this was very thoughtful, as we hadn’t requested it. We appreciated the extra mile they took to make it a great stay at their Inn.
- KandisOct 23, 2019In the heart of downtown Savannah
The hotel was quaint, clean and super dog friendly. And, it’s in the heart of one of the most dog-friendly cities I’ve ever seen! Shops, bars, restaurants, parks, and the amazing river walk are all within walking distance. Savannah is a beautiful city and the East Bay Inn is a great place to stay with or without your pet!
- LyndaSep 23, 2019AWESOME!
We had a great time. They had a bag of treats for our dog. Room was beautiful. Everyone was super nice.
- Khloe and ozo's momDec 20, 2017Great location.
Stayed at East Bay Inn with a large mix 90lbs and a 10 lb mini schnauzer. Staff was friendly. They provided us poop bags and dog treats! It's located across the street from a park so your pets can relieve themselves. We had to park in the parking garage since our pickup was too big for the parking in front of the hotel. $14 Parking fee is one charge for entire stay. Pet fee was $50 but only charged once and cheaper than other hotel's pet fees. Would book again. The shower does change slightly from warm to cold but it's not that serious.
