Natural Coastal Paradise

Hampton Inn & Suites Jekyll Island

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Jekyll Island. The accommodations were perfect. Located away from the busier parts of the island. The Hampton is nestled among beautiful trees many with Spanish moss for our boys (our two Shih Tzus Bailey and Miyake) to mark. There is a walkway with many steps to climb over the beautiful heavily vegetated sand dunes. Leading to a very secluded beach that your pups will love to run on and the Atlantic for them to take a dip.

The room was very comfortable with a sofa, microwave and fridge. Our room had a balcony overlooking the pool and hot tub. While in Jekyll be sure to check out the Millionaires village. Beautiful "cottages" and lots of history. Also take time to take the pup to Driftwood Beach for scenery that looks unworldly. Well worth the trip to the North end of the island. A true escape from reality at an affordable price. And there is new ownership so renovations are coming though the property is in decent shape. The employees were all friendly and accommodating. Their free shuttle (tip appreciated, I'm sure) goes anywhere on the island and can include your dogs. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Almost Like a Song

Home2 Suites by Hilton Opelika Auburn

We stayed at the Home 2 Suites by Hilton Opelika Auburn with our our 2 Shih Tzus for the Opelika Songwriters Festival. The hotel was fantastic with spacious rooms that we all found comfort in. The staff was exceptional and all took time to see our boys some love. The surrounding area has everything that you could possibly need. This was our first trip to downtown Opelika, charming and historic town with a distillery, 3 microbreweries, a pinball parlor, great restaurants and friendly locals. The Opelika Songwriters Festival is a can't miss music event that is well planned and laid out throughout historic downtown. It is run by a staff of volunteers that take great pride in both the event and and the area. Home 2 Suites Hilton Auburn Opelika was the events host hotel and did an excellent job in serving the festival.

How the big dogs roll

Drury Inn & Suites Lafayette LA

We travel quite a bit and stayed at the Drury Inn and Suites-Lafayette on December 29th. It was easily our best hotel experience of 2022. The rooms were large, comfortable and spotless. At night they have a reception which gives all guests a couple of beers, wine or cocktail with a food spread which included BBQ, baked potatoes, soup, hot dogs, salad, veggies and sodas for the kids. Their breakfast was equally impressive and had biscuits, gravy, sausage, grits, oatmeal, pastries, oatmeal, juices, etc. Every employee that we ran into while at the hotel was pleasant and went out of their way to make sure that we were enjoying our stay. The amenities were numerous and all clean and in good working order. All at a very affordable price. This is an extremely well managed hotel that will be our home in any future travels to Lafayette.

East Bay Inn is our new go-to spot when in Savannah

East Bay Inn Historic Inns of Savannah Collection

Our 1st time staying here and our two shih tzus joined us. The staff is one of the most memorable hotel staffs that I encountered. Their customer service was phenomenal. They answered many questions about the area. I brought food home for my wife and the room had no microwave. The desk clerk warmed the food in a microwave they had in the back. The dogs got a welcome bag with treats and a walking map of puppy friendly places and historical sights. The conveniently located free parking is truly a bonus in Savannah. The rooms are beautiful with super high ceilings and are well equipped and furnished. We get to Savannah often and this will definitely be our new go-to inn in Savannah.

Your dog can live like a god in Athens

Hotel Indigo Athens University Area an IHG Hotel

Great hotel. Housekeeping and cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. Downtown Athens is very close and a great place to walk a dog. The hotel did charge us two pet fees, But quickly removed the second when it was brought to their attention, a week after our stay. The employees of the hotel extremely well trained and they strive hard to meet their guest every need. We had a very nice stay and I highly recommend.

This place is for the dogs (in a bow WOW kinda way)

Kimpton Brice Hotel an IHG Hotel

Great location in historic Savannah. One of Savannah's beautiful park like squares is just outside to hotel for your dog to frolic and meet other canine (and human) companions. There were lots of dogs staying there and the rooms are spacious and nicely furnished. Walking distance to Riverwalk and downtown restaurants and pubs.
