- AmyApr 28, 2024Good all around
Great staff and dog friendly!
- MichaelFeb 7, 2024Friendly but worn
Reception very friendly as were the breakfast staff. Room was worn: chipped wood, broken light switch plat in bathroom, broken blind. The room had a strong smell of disinfectant. I guess when Hilton take over it will get refreshed.
- NancyDec 26, 2023Won't go back
We are in our 70s and were sound asleep at 2:30 am, when we got a call from the desk saying it was a gentle warning to hold the noise down. It would have been really nice if an employee had checked where the noise was really coming from and not made a bad assumption. We were awake quite awhile afterwards. We won't return.
- CarlosDec 21, 2023Convenient to I-95
They allowed our dog to stay there.
- IngaAug 29, 2023Okay for a night
This hotel is right off I-95 and has a gas station right next door. It is super convenient for splitting up our drive from Maryland to Florida. The room was small and had a musty smell. The walls are very thin and while our Golden Retriever never made a sound, we could easily hear barking from our neighbors. I would not want to spend a week-long vacation here, but it was adequate for a quick stopover while traveling.
- TrevorAug 5, 2023Great Hotel
I was a little weary about staying in a pet-friendly hotel. Typically the ones I’ve seen aren’t the nicest. But this hotel was really nice and clean. I would definitely stay here again with my dogs!
- GeraldAug 4, 2023Enjoyed our stay
Nice clear room. Mattress and pillow were perfect. Quiet, no street noise. Staff great. Super pet friendly restaurant (Sam Snead) just across the street. Will be back.
- KarenJul 8, 2023Acceptable
Not a bad location. Had a good dinner on the outdoor patio of the restaurant across the street with my dog (I think it was called Sam Snead’s). I was the only one eating there. Room was pretty nice except it was on the 3rd floor, far from the elevator. Free breakfast not the best.
- DebbieMay 22, 2023Disappointing
Arrived with two dogs expecting to be on first floor since it stated all pet friendly rooms were on the first floor. We were on the third. The room size was adequate and bathroom clean, but the furniture was literally falling apart (wood peeling, pieces coming off), there was a used coffee cup on the floor, and the conditioner bottle was half full so clearly reused. Found rotting oranges in a bowl at the breakfast bar. There were patches of grass but no waste bags for the dogs. Will never stay here again.
- PatriciaFeb 19, 2023Horrible Smell
The room smelled awful. There was feces left in the toilet bowl. The room hasn’t been refurbished or updated in a very long time.
- FloraJan 15, 2023Great Pet Friendly Hotel
This hotel was clean, comfortable and pet friendly. We were able to sit with my pets while having breakfast in the dining area. Know that we sat far off from other diners. The best part was when checking about getting a room without pet odor, the guy said, we do our best but there are guests who do not report that their pet had an accident; even though a room is cleaned they cannot promise my room will be odor free. I appreciated his comment but was leery abt staying. Our room was clean and fresh smelling. I will definitely recommend and stay here again.
- ChuckDec 8, 2022Clean and comfy pitstop
Clean, comfy, convenient. Included continental breakfast.
- SusanDec 2, 2022Budget bed on the road
Old, funky and in the end the price, depending on the day, is higher than a Marriott Residence suite. So…
- ElwoodNov 25, 2022Not a good choice
Our room was in need of repairs. Showerhead was broken, door lock broken, beds very hard and squeaked loud when changing positions during the night, free breakfast offering was poor. Would not stay here again. Too many other hotels in the immediate area.
- StanleyOct 30, 2022Good location
Dog-friendly restaurants nearby.
- CatherineOct 24, 2022Convenient for Road Trips
This is right off I-95 but behind some other hotels, so it wasn't noisy or unsafe to walk the dogs by the ample grassy areas on hotel property. All dog friendly rooms are on the first floor, and our room was spacious and clean. I would definitely stay here again.
- FranJun 21, 2022Good location
Very run down. I usually stay at The Candlewood but thought I would try something else this time. It cost $200. At that price, I expected something nicer. I am a vegan so my dog really enjoyed the breakfast of eggs and sausage.
- KATHLEENApr 29, 2022Road trip with dog
Front desk staff were very nice. Room clean. Breakfast was of lesser quality than other motels of similar price range.
- John KMar 21, 2022Don’t stay here
The rooms were nasty and smelled like weed. We tried to get another room but manager said they were full? The location is good but rooms were dirty. AC had mold growing in it, the shades were stained as well as the carpet. In addition we discovered this morning the shower didn’t have a curtain. Last night we notified management of the issues and they did offer to fully refund us or offer us a partial credit of $75.00. We decided to tough it out because there were no other dog friendly hotels nearby but if you can avoid this place do yourself a favor and waste your money.
- SuzanneFeb 27, 2022Clean rooms, good hot breakfast, nice front desk
We arrived late but our room was ready for us and we checked in without any problems. Beds were great, breakfast nice and we were off again!
- MarilynJan 25, 2022Adequate but not great
Room was small but OK. Bathroom was old. Microwave OK. Refrigerator small but OK. Nice lobby. Good area to walk dog. Lobby was nice; breakfast OK. We were spoiled by night prior at Candlewood Suites.
- LisaDec 30, 2021Great location
Great area for exercise.
- NicoletteSep 26, 2021Mildew and Uncomfortable Beds
Poor quality beds and mildew. If you have allergies, don't stay here.
- AydeletteAug 1, 2021We liked it
Our room was perfectly comfortable.
- Corey-JanJul 12, 2021Great for airport access, and they DO love dogs!
When we found ourselves in last-minute need of a place to stay near the airport so we could get as much sleep as possible before a 6 AM flight, Comfort Inn & Suites Savannah Airport was the best choice according to BringFido. Our pup had never been in a hotel (or other building with an elevator) and she was a bit freaked out -- but the front desk guy knew just what to do -- and had our insecure pup eating out of his hand (literally). The room was comfortable and clean. The service was friendly. And you can't beat it for airport proximity. Note: you pay the extra $25 for your pet separately, when you check in. The only reason I give it 4 bones not 5 is that had I gone to the hotel's site directly, I could have saved $20/night. But the convenience of the BringFido site was worth the extra time I'd have spent.
- StephenJul 3, 2021Okay I guess?
TV was broken. Had to jiggle the plug to get the AC to work. The mattress was cheap. I knew what we were getting when I booked it, however. They allowed pups but even for the price not worth it.
- BrianMay 30, 2021Good dog walk area
Staff is pet friendly. Very nice large area around the hotel for dog walking.
- SamanthaMar 25, 2021Mixed review
The staff was welcoming and helpful. They provided menus and extra toiletries. That was about all that was nice about our stay. Our room smelled terrible and was really hot when we came in. We were next to the gym. The bedsheets had sand or something in them, I was afraid to look. And the bedframes felt like they would collapse. It was just me and my two kids. Would not stay again.
- HawleyFeb 25, 2021Horrible service and room
We were put in a first floor room with our dog which was great, until 5:30 in the morning when all we could hear was the staff using the microwave to heat up breakfast. This lasted over an hour before we finally got up and checked out. When I told the manager of the property about other issue she simply replied - well yeah the microwave is right there. She was incredibly rude and didn’t offer to do anything to remedy it until I asked for corporates phone number. She then offered to refund the pet fee (25.00). Instead of this, she charged my card two separate times for 25.00 each and also a 50.00 authorization hold. At this point I have 200 dollars tied up in my bank account while traveling. She insisted that 50 dollar hold was my bank, despite them saying it was not. She offered to send a form in to get rid of the authorization hold, but never did this. A few days later, the 25.00 fee has posted to my account, as well as the room fee. Not only did she hang up on me, repeatedly tell me she would send a form she did not, she never even refunded me the money she offered to. Now I am having to call corporate and get the run around. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!
- JeffreyNov 30, 2020Very accommodating
There were a few issues with the room but the staff was great and they were very accommodating!
- ShellyJul 25, 2020Convenient location but terrible hotel
It's right off I-95, and they allow pets (for a $25 fee). Also, the breakfast was okay -- warm ham & egg English muffins, danishes and fresh whole fruits. Check in was also fast and easy. Beyond that, the room itself was absolutely awful. The carpet had several stains (okay, it's a pet friendly room so I can almost expect that). But the AC unit had what appeared to be mold in the vents. The bathroom shower had hair and mold or rust stains in the drain. I would not use it. The window treatment was an old, nasty roller shade. The worst part was the beds. They are on some kind of platform that makes terribly loud squeaky noises when you move at all. I kept waking myself up just rolling over. And I could even hear the neighbor's beds squeaking. I would not have stayed here if I knew these things.
- DaveMay 31, 2020Right off the highway!
Big rooms and friendly staff.
- JoelMar 9, 2020Loud Hotel
They put the guests with dogs down one hallway on the first floor of course. Not a problem. But..... The staff at night was soooo loud. Talking, laughing. Our room was next to the front desk. Woke up every 2 hours to loud noises and talking. Never again.
- LeonFeb 8, 2020Almost a home run
My wife and I stayed at this hotel with our older Brittany. Almost everything about the hotel was wonderful. Beautiful hotel grounds, great amenities, terrific location - close to the Interstate lots of great restaurants around. So what kept me from giving this hotel a 5 star rating? The bed. It is quite possibly the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever been in. Every move produced a loud noise from the springs which kept my wife and I awake. And the comfort level was definitely sub par. Very uncomfortable.
Invest in some new mattresses and box springs and this would definitely 5 stars instead of 3.
- DianeNov 3, 2019Would go again.
Was as expected. A few issues with room and TV but was resolved. Staff was accommodating and pleasant.
- BarbaraNov 2, 2019No special dog spot to walk only the parking lot
They gave us a ground floor which I loved as it was so easy to walk my dog. Rooms were noisy.
- KimOct 29, 2019Nice place
Hotel was nice and clean. I felt comfortable walking my dogs outside at night. Breakfast was very good. I would stay here again.
- MichaelOct 28, 2019Worked Out Really Well.
The first time we were traveling with our 3 dogs. BringFido concierge called the hotel since it’s policy said only 2 and the hotel was willing to take us. The room was clean and comfortable. We were able to avoid the main lobby and walk in a side entrance right down the hall from our room. Nice outside grassy area for walking the dogs.
