    Hotel was clean and very inexpensive. It is a motel style room with direct access to outside which was a little concerning from a security perspective. If you are looking for somewhere for a quick overnight stop I would recommend this hotel.

    The room itself was clean. However, this is a motel with direct access to your room from outside. Very noisy and didn't feel safe. The hotel seems to be mismanaged. We stayed for 3 nights and housekeeping came by once around 7pm. The areas for walking your dog are disgusting. It seems very few dog owners actually pick up after their dogs. Someone tried to get into our room on the last night. Will look for a safer hotel next time.

    This hotel was very clean & nice, but seemed a bit expensive for what it was. $130 on a Saturday night but NO pet fee which was nice. The clerk was very friendly and helpful suggesting a Trolley tour of Historic Savannah w/ our dog! It wasn't on our agenda but it sounded cool. We stayed on the second floor and no elevator so lugging up our stuff was a pain and the Continental Breakfast the next day might have been nice but it was picked over and super crowded with all sorts of people in their PJ's camping out w/ overflowing plates. I did manage to get a cup of coffee & OJ. All in All I didn't expect much expect maybe to pay a little less. Maybe I should haved used Priceline :)

    I took myself and my 2 cats to the La Quinta Inn Savannah Midtown hotel. Upon arriving, the floor was dirty. If I was traveling with out pets, it may not have bothered me too much. If I was traveling with dogs it may not have been much of a worry, but cats lick themselves in order to be clean. So what is on the floor will end up in their mouth. Before I let my cats out of their carriers, I did a bit of cleaning floors. I would have called the maid service but it was late at night and I figured they were not on call. While down on all fours, I found a small dead roach, some powdery stuff pushed into the carpet and some "body hair" behind the toilet. That was the worst of it. Most corners looked as though the maid never moved furnature to clean back there. Finally, after cleaning the floor, I let my cats out. The rest of the stay was fine. The staff obeyed the "do not disturb" sign I kept up on the door. My cats were relaxed. I felt safe even going out at night. The hotel is not a fancy hotel, but it was a low price and worked out well. I would visit again. If you go, be sure to have carpet/floor cleaning products or arrive early enough to call on the maid service. I am giving 4 bones because the stay was fine, just a normal hotel stay, but the floor was dirty so that loses a bone.

    While this hotel allows pets, it's an old style motel with direct door into your room. Very noisy. My wife was uncomfortable walking past open rooms with people congregating outside. I would stay at the other La Quinta just up the street on Abercorn or the Homewood Inn and Suites on White Bluff Road.

    I stayed at this LaQuinta on my way to vacay and liked it so much I stayed at another LaQuinta on my way home. The things that held true of both hotels - and so I think it's a decent bet to assume this of any/most LaQuinta's: very clean rooms, comfy beds (*if you like soft), AC/heat units were newer and worked very well without too much intrusive sound, TVs have a night-scene screen saver of moon and moving water - I thought it was a nice touch, and the dog was surprisingly (shockingly even) comfortable at both locations, telling me there was no or little residual odor from previous occupants reaffirming the cleanliness of the rooms. This hotel specifically: long boulevard on one side for potty breaks, night time security guard walking the grounds when I took my dog out at 1am (nice), the pool was a bit dirty with leaves/natural debris so for an overnight not a problem but if you're staying several days that might be an issue if you want to use the pool, and great location close-ish to downtown. I would highly recommend this hotel. I would suggest requesting a bottom floor room when booking as there is no elevator. The four bones is for the 'no elevator' and the dirty pool. Otherwise a 'five bone' stay.
