Reviews
- ChuckJun. 29, 2022Ok for the pup
Heading down 95, needed place to stay for the night. It was adequate, and probably a little overpriced for what we got, but hey last minute and needed a spot with the doggie. Acceptable, but there was a smell from the carpet that took a while to become noseblind. But, rest was ok. There was basic breakfast but we didn't partake.
- ChandraJun. 25, 2022No tail wags
Hotel room was not cleaned well. There were streaks down the wall where things had run down the wall. The room was so humid everything was damp. Floors at entry and in bath area had a residue that made them fall hazards. Although request for non smoking room was honored, it still had a very strong smoke odor. Reconsider your options, quality of lodging far below cost of the room.
- MelanieJun. 5, 2022Great location and clean
The word is out amongst dog owners. This is the place to stay in Georgia. Staff was hospitable and the rooms were clean and quiet. We got a great night's rest.
- EfratJun. 1, 2022Nice
Very kind staff.
- SarahMay. 31, 2022Good location
Staff friendly good spot for a quick stop. We were driving from PA to FL. Dog friendly... could use better grass area for dogs as they are in spots next to busy highway but otherwise everything else was good!
- JeffMay. 15, 2022Needs overhaul
Too expensive. Rug was stained, old shower curtain.
- StephenApr. 17, 2022Good location
Old but clean. Friendly. Good for overnight.
- MarkApr. 10, 2022Perfect for one night layover
Clean room, close to restaurants.
- AlanMar. 18, 2022Dirty hotel
Room was terrible and dirty. Waste of money.
- AleseFeb. 10, 2022Fine place for a one night stay with a pet
Plenty of outside grassy areas and there are several outside trash cans and a poop bag dispenser. Unfortunately, not everyone staying there cleaned up after their pet. Laundry dryer was broken and also vending machines were broken. But, at least the person at the front desk told people as they checked in so nobody would lose money.
- JenniferDec. 19, 2021Room was filthy
Stale French fry and years of dust in the air conditioning unit. Sticky substance on lamp and desk and non-smoking room smelled heavily of smoke. Floor felt so dirty I didn’t want my kid or dogs really walking on it. Cheap for area but not clean.
- PatJul. 5, 2021Okay
Easy access to outdoor walks.
- ShannonMay. 3, 2021Room smelled like smoke
Room smelled terrible. The location isn't the best but it's an easy drive to downtown Savannah
- ToddApr. 9, 2021Meh for one night
Heed the negative reviews. Fortunately the room smelled clean; but, as mentioned by another reviewer the hallway to our first floor room reaked of cigarette smoke and weed. Check in by Miss Braids and Eyelashes was full of attitude. She literally wanted to be anywhere else than there. Pool was unusable. Outlets in the desk lamp for charging phones didn’t work. Basically this hotel is an old streetwalker that should retire. We only stayed there for a night. Had we planned a longer stay I probably would have moved.
- MikeMar. 24, 2021Very dirty hotel
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. It was poorly maintained, very dirty, smelled of cigarettes and weed. The mattresses were very bad, I woke with back aches.
- KarolinaFeb. 28, 2021Old
It’s a really old place, the carpet has bunch of stain, but smells clean.
- JamesJan. 20, 2021Nice Room
Very nice room for the money. The staff was friendly. It's not a long drive to see the river.
- BrandonJan. 4, 2021Would not stay again
Very dirty, loud air conditioners, thin walls. Beds were not comfortable.
- ZoeJan. 3, 2021Great location
great location,
no pet fee,
the rooms are clean,
Bandit definitely enjoyed his stay here.
Plus it’s super affordable and it has a pup relief spot. - MouriaOct. 25, 2020Stay Away
This hotel was in terrible condition. The room had holes in the walls, mold in the bathroom and stunk of cigarettes. There was a lot of commotion in the adjacent room with many visitors coming and going. I would not recommend unless you are totally desperate.

- DiegoJun. 13, 2020Not great, but will do...
Not a great place to stay, but it will do if you’re in a pinch for just a night.
- AllenMay. 23, 2020Our girls loved it! And so did we.
Room was very comfortable and clean. Bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly, and helpful in pointing us to different locations. One of the housekeepers even asked us if we needed anything or help. We plan to go back!
- VernonMay. 15, 2020Hospitality Great
- DonnaFeb. 29, 2020Great customer service
Room was comfy as always. Will stay again soon.
- FrankFeb. 25, 2020Good location
Friendly motel is a little worn
- Ann jenniferFeb. 23, 2020Great Location
I was very happy with this place. It was dog friendly, clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The location cannot be beat.
- CathyJan. 13, 2020Clean Hotel
Room is clean. Pet fee very reasonable. Small area for dogs to relieve themselves, but this hotel is on a VERY busy road!! Noise from this road makes it difficult to sleep.
Staff is very nice. - JessJan. 1, 2020Okay To Stay But Gross Stain
Cheap so you get what you pay for. There was a red stain on the bed spread on the outside corner near the feet. Bathroom was clean but you can hear very loudly another room using the sink/toilet/shower sounds. It was definitely pet friendly. Not a big area for dogs to do their business but it worked.
- MaryDec. 22, 2019Very pleasant staff
The front desk personnel were very helpful and welcoming.
- ChrisDec. 12, 2019Horrible
The room was quiet and there were no charge for the dog. In the morning we found bugs running on the counter. Would not recommend this hotel.
- PamelaDec. 6, 2019Review
"Ok" hotel, needs a lot of updating. Staff was very polite and helpful. DOG FRIENDLY, not close to downtown, but lots of decent restaurants nearby. A really great dog park is close to this hotel.
- PruiettOct. 31, 2019Clean and friendly
This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this location and we were once again pleased with the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the room, and with the other services (breakfast included).
Thanks and we will return again one day soon.
- RichardOct. 14, 2019Great location.
No problems whatsoever. Easy check in. The room was a good size and most importantly clean. The dogs loved it.
- ScottDec. 27, 2018Meh - not impressed
Old room. Older property? Not so well maintained.
It’s a small property with dog service area right next to a busy highway.
Spacious room smelled a bit of mildew and bathroom not very clean.
Matter of fact staff wasn’t particularly welcoming but not rude either.
Didn’t feel safe with pedestrians hanging out outside watching cars park.
Won’t return.

We always have a good experience at La Quintas with our dog and this was no exception. Only drawback was that it is 10 miles in off the exit on 95. Room was clean and smelled fine. Pets are on 3rd floor but no big deal. Not a lot of grass area to walk our German Shepherd but it was ok. Friendly staff, a good night sleep and nice breakfast. We would stay here again.
- LynnMore than a year agogreat stay!!
Clean room, comfortable beds, courteous staff. If you ask for information on where to go to eat they give you a helpful print out of restaurants that are dog friendly which was very helpful .
- MaryMar. 7, 2018Clean, friendly, great price
This was our first time staying at La Quinta and for under $80 it’s a gem. Prior, we stayed at hotels that charged us additional pet fees up to $75 plus the room. It was clean, very welcoming to our dog, friendly staff, nice breakfast. Close to downtown too!
- CaroleMore than a year agoLaQuinta never disappoints!
This is maybe our 6th stay in this hotel chain throughout the southern USA and we've never been disappointed so far!
I would not listen to the negative feedback it sounds like someone is trying to get advertising for their own hotel! LolThe only reason why I didn't give a 5 bone is because although conveniently located with a short drive to historic downtown, it is on a very busy street with a lot of noise and traffic. We were in the third floor which helped numb out the noise. The room was very clean except for the carpet area which although vacuumed looked a bit stained and suspicious which is pretty much like any hotel rooms allowing dogs anyway.
Super friendly staff and good breakfast. We will definitely stay in more La Quinta dog friendly hotels in the future! 👍
