We will never go to any Econo Lodges again. The building was old and in a bad area. Screens had fallen out of the windows. Our room was supposed to be “Non smoking” but the entire floor reeked of smoke. We had no sink drain and no security bolt on our door. The towels were cheap and flimsy and the bedspread was as thin as a sheet. I didn’t want to touch anything. Obviously someone DID touch something, the full length mirror. They left a giant hand print in the middle. The old fashioned air conditioner plug was filthy. There was no place to walk a dog. There was no safe place to walk……..period.
We were relieved to see that our car was intact when we escaped in the morning.
