  Great spot for dogs!

  Clean and tidy hotel with a friendly staff, nice breakfast, and a great setup for dogs. They put us right by one of the side doors on the ground floor so our dog didn’t have to walk through the lobby or down a hall. There is a nice grassy area beside the hotel for walks. Lots of places to eat nearby. Will definitely stay here again when passing through!

  This was a comfortable, if not spectacular stay. The room was a little old & worn, but clean. The breakfast was better than average. I travel with 2 large Bernese Mountain Dogs and am most appreciative of a reasonable pet fee, which at the time of this review was $20 for both dogs. There was plenty of green space for walking & even a little dog park. Now, if dog owners would only do their part & clean up after their pets, please!!

  Clean and friendly. No fee for my Service Dog, plus a fenced in dog park. All first floor rooms have a small private patio that looks out on the lovely pool area. Great breakfast included. Highly recommend!

  Great hotel. Friendly customer service!! Very clean hotel and room. Outside pool and hot tub was a delight. Happy Hour with free beer and wine, cookies and chips and salsa!! Wow where can you get that??!! Plus free breakfast. Nice fenced in dog park with playground. All of the amenities for a decent price. There is one thing that wasn’t as great but still rated this hotel 5 bones. Sadly you couldn’t leave your pet in the room while you went out. But all and all great experience. Will be back!!

  Hotel was old, fairly clean. Staff never acknowledged we had a dog but we did get a first floor room close to an exit with no carpet. Good grassy areas for doggo to do his business. This hotel is very close to the interstate so be prepared to hear the trucks all night.

  Perfect in every aspect!

  Where to begin? Every single employee that we spoke with was friendly and helpful. The hotel had a nice fenced in dog play area and the rooms were spotless and comfortable! We also enjoyed the complimentary beer/wine and snacks from 6-8 on the patio by the pool and the breakfast was hot and fresh. If I could leave more bones I would!! We're making this one of our regular stops on our snowbird flight.

  Beautiful and comfortable hotel

  We enjoyed our night at the Wingate Valdosta Moody AFB. We slept well and so did our dog. There was a happy hour from 6p-8p that offered warm chocolate chip cookies (and wine and beer). The breakfast bar has a large variety and my husband enjoyed his biscuit and sausage. Well-located with an excellent Outback Steak House next door. I would advise against staying in room 102, though, which is near the lobby and the ice machine, and relatively noisy. We will stay there again when we drive through Valdosta, just not in room 102.

  Excellent pet accommodations

  We are traveling the eastern states, this being our 5th stop. Wingate Valdosta has the best pet facilities we have seen. The room was clean, welcoming and very comfortable for 2 adults and two dogs. There’s plenty of grassy areas for walks AND an enclosed pet park with dog friendly equipment (stairs, tunnel, ramps, etc.) and a great mix of sun and shade. We will continue to look at Wingate for our travels.

  I wouldn’t say our dog was treated like royalty but the stay was great. Good places to walk dogs and a safe feeling place. Breakfast was excellent; way above continental, and the lady making sure it was all neat did an excellent job.

  Nice overnight stay

  We checked in after midnight as we were traveling farther north for our destination, so this was just a quick overnight to get some rest. The hotel is very nice and clean. Staff accommodating and efficient. Breakfast was good with hot and cold items, but my husband was disappointed there wasn’t any yogurt. We would stay here again! Sofia (our fur baby) loved it too!

  All staff was really friendly. We were in a room right by the back door by dog park area, great location. Our dog loved being able to run in the dog park area off the leash. The dog park area was very clean we were impressed. Breakfast was very nice too. Room was nice, bed was very comfortable. Hooters did let us eat on their patio with our dog. Food was not great but wasn't bad either. The fact it's walking distance after a long drive made it worth it.

  Perfect hotel for staying with dogs. Large, ultra clean, fenced-in dog park with agility equipment, human benches, and a doggie watering station. Rooms are very nice with microwave, refrigerator, coffer maker and ice machine close by. Super friendly staff. My two large dogs, AmberNanner White German Shepherd) and Remi Rae (Chocolate Lab) really enjoyed their sty Wingate by Wyndham Valdosta Moody AFB. Thanks so much!

  We, along with our dog Winston, loved this hotel! The room was clean, comfortable and (especially important for a Snorkie mix) quiet. Winston is a ferocious 13lb guard dog. The free wine at happy hour and the breakfast was great. Winston loved the dog park. We would definitely stay again!

  The staff at BringFido helped make my reservation and they were great! The staff at the hotel was great. It was clean, well-staffed and breakfast was fantastic! The room was perfect for us and my dog was very welcomed. I travel through Valdosta frequently and plan to stay here from now on.

  It felt like a safe location. We really like the fact that there was a high fence around the property where the dog area was and poop bags provided. There was also many eateries nearby within walking distance and an easy on-off to the interstate. But the property seemed older than expected with chips in the tub, but clean and didn't need an air freshener to cover up odors.

  Clean Comfortable Fun

  The room was very spacious. Plenty of room for both the cat and dog to play after a long 12 hour car ride. The bed had a variety of pillows to choose from making it a nice comfortable sleep. There was a large dog park with a tunnel, an elevated walkway with steps to bound up and down. They provided poop bags just in case you ran out and it kept the dog run clean. The staff was extremely friendly and wanted to insure that you had a pleasant stay. The breakfast was huge! Lots of hot dishes and a variety of grab and go foods if you were on a tight schedule. We will definitely recommend and stay here again.

  The pups loved the dog park on the property. It was a wonderful idea and great for the pups after being in the car all day. I thought having laminate flooring in the rooms was a great idea as well for a dog friendly hotel. My only two criticisms are that the jetted tub was dirty. I was really looking forward to using it after driving all day, but it was obvious to the naked eye that the jets were moldy. The second thing was both phones in the room were dead. I know we all have cell phones, but in case if an emergency, calling 911 from the landline would have been preferred. When I told the front desk about it, she said did you report it to the front desk? I said no, the phones were dead duh!

  Best pup hotel so far

  This property is very nicely planned, and especially so for traveling with a pet. The pet rooms have tiled floors, great for pups out of their routine and a little confused so having accidents. There are balconies, ours was enclosed, first floor, to make it easy to go out first thing in the morning. The rooms are around a central courtyard with pool and hot tub and a patio where you can enjoy your coffee and breakfast outside, weather permitting.The icing on the cake is the fenced in exercise park with a shaded bench. It's also a very nice place to stay if you're without a pet.

  This hotel was great for the dogs. There was an enclosed dog park on site, they put us in a ground floor room, near the exit and the floors were all hard - no carpets. Highly recommend for dog families.

  What a great experience! From check in to check out, everything was great. Clean, quiet room. No disinfectant smells. Awesome fenced dog space with water bowls, benches and landscaping. Breakfast was just right. Would stay at Wyndham’s whenever we could.

  Traveling with our 6.5lb 10 mos old puppy for the first time. The hotel was very pet friendly - put us in a room on the first floor, just a short walk to the pet area. The dog park was great! Gave our little guy time to stretch his legs. The area was surprisingly clean and free of dog waste. Staff was very friendly. Would stay here again.

  Great Pet-Friendly Hotel

  Saw the other reviews on way to NC. This is really a nice, clean and very pet-friendly spot. They have a small dog park so you can get your dog a little running time after a long drive, they let you have your pet out on the patio near the pool and charge a nominal pet fee. They also had a free beer and wine happy hour and offer breakfast in your price. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

  Great location just off I-75 with several nice restaurants next door. We stayed here overnight to break up a long trip. Room was nice and clean with hardwood floors. Free HBO.
  Room had a refrigerator and breakfast was included. Eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, grits, yogurt, fruit, cereal, juices, etc.
  Dog park on side of property was very nice. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again. Lovely hotel!

  The room was modern and clean. Lots of TV channels including HBO. Nice breakfast choices. And they even have an enclosed dog play area, complete with obstacle course and fetch toys. Our fur babies loved it!

  What separates this nice motel from others is the dog park. It is Fenced in, with four or five agility stations. Water is available for the dogs the fence is high. In addition there is a large grassy area next to the dog park

  Great Overnight Stop

  We stopped here overnight in route to Southern Florida. The hotel was in a great location and very dog friendly. There is a very nice running area for dogs that was relatively clean and well organized. It was a nice option after driving w our dogs for 11 hours. The lobby was clean, w a lot of attention to COVID guidelines. The service was also very good. Our room was simple, but clean and comfortable. We were on the back side, so it was somewhat noisy overnight. I saw other recommendations about asking for a room on the side, which I will do next time. The hotel is in walking distance to 3 restaurants. Hooters did allow us to bring our two larger dogs on their outdoor patio, which worked well. Overall, this was a really nice hotel that I would definitely stay at again!

  Great place to bring your pup!

  So we actually stayed here twice in 1 week, once on our way up to GA and then on the way home. (I booked La Quinta on the way up and Wingate on the way down and did not realize it was the same hotel) On the way up I would have given it a 3 star. We checked in and the lady at the front desk said there were no pet friendly rooms left (even though we booked one days before) regardless they allowed us to stay in a non pet friendly one. However, the room smelled like cat urine so obviously pets had stayed in it before. The suite was MASSIVE which is great for your 4 legged friends to move around.
  The 2nd time we stayed was completely different. The room smelled fantastic however we were given a 2 queen bed room and one of the beds was sitting on a piece of plywood? I know they are in the stages of changing ownership from La Quinta to Wingate so I am only assuming they are changing many things.
  The pet walk is amazing! I saw reviews it wasn’t kept up well but it was perfect when we were there and much larger than we expected!
  Breakfast was mediocre.
  Would overall recommend.

  This property was all paws up! From the rubber stairs for paw + people traction, to the well-tended yards surrounding the building - all fantastic. Was so excited to see the dog run where the pups could ply off leash before continuing their trek in a vehicle! Well done.

  This looks like an old historic hotel remodeled. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the pool and hot tub are in the center of the hotel. We had a room with balcony and it was so relaxing and lovely. The first floor rooms do not have carpet and it freaked out our little pups, we explained and requested a room change and they were happy to accommodate. Only warning - NO elevator, only steps for 3 floors. Highly recommend and if in this area we will stay again!

  Best LQ I've ever seen

  Wow! This is a very clean, very safe, very friendly La Quinta. It is right next door to an Outback, a Texas Roadhouse, and a Hooters. Any of the three are within 100 yards, and a very safe walk. The rooms are clean and odor free. There is a huge grassy area for walking the dogs, and a magnificent fenced in off-leash dog park area where the dogs can run and play. This is my new go-to place whenever I am in this area.

  Probably the most gracious and hospitable staff we’ve had the pleasure to encounter in many miles, Inn arranged around a small but gorgeous garden and pool area with grills. Some rooms are “ city facing” but look toward adjacent Texas Roadhouse” etc or nearby I-75. Noise reducing windows work. Fantastic dog walking grassy areas and a small dedicated fenced park just feet from side exits. Rooms are clean and odor free, amazing given the great number of registered pets. We dined on a full hot southern breakfast on the patio overlooking the pool, with our Retriever. This place sets a high bar on all dimensions.

  Not only is the hotel close off the I-75 exit but it’s a safe location. Well lit parking lot, amazing fenced in play area, and plenty of grass with waste station. Two restaurants a few steps away to get a healthy meal. Rooms have tile/laminate wood floors, super clean, and all first floor with easy access outside. This is the definition of pet friendly hotel!

  This hotel was wonderful for a dog, and humans too! Lit dog run, plenty of spaces to walk, and a general, easy-going atmosphere that lends itself to canine guests. Hotel is clean, surrounded by restaurants, a little tricky to get to but I was tired! Highly recommend, I’ll stay here on my return trip.

  very convenient overnight (just off I-75) for a trip from Knoxville TN to Southwest Florida. Clean, comfortable and definitely dog friendly! Next time, I'll ask for a room on the side and not at the back of the building (rooms at the back seem noisier since they face the highway).

  As hurricane Dorian refugees, we needed a dog-friendly stopover on our northerly escape path. So glad that they had a room for us. No carpet on the floors makes sense for keeping rooms clean, but makes it slippery for pups to safely navigate.

  Perfect Visit

  We booked this hotel the morning of arriving. We decided we didn’t want to travel straight from North Carolina to Florida so we stopped in Valdosta. This hotel was perfect. The lobby was modern and clean. Check in was easy and we went for a walk and stumbled across a fenced in dog area on property! It was nice to let the dogs stretch before coming in for the night. We also took advantage of happy hour with free beer and wine 💕. Our room was spacious and clean with comfortable beds. We will absolutely make it a point to stay again.
