    Exceptional

The park staff are very animal friendly. The cabin and grounds around the cabin were spacious and my dog felt right at home. I believe the majority of the cabins are dog friendly. You feel like they're saying, "Hey we like dogs here!" All of the historical sites with the exception of two you can take your dog to see as well. There are numerous hiking trails across thousands of acres of land where your dog is welcome as long as you keep it on a leash. The park clearly has a respect for animals as it's an equine destination as well as at one time a canine training center during world war II. By far the friendliest state park for a person traveling with their pet that I have visited.
