We had a great stay here with our pups. We had a room with 2 queen beds. It was clean, comfortable, and spacious compared to most places we have stayed at the same price point. There are some grassy areas to take the dogs to potty, and the free breakfast (from 6-9) was substantial. I would’ve rated it 5/5 if they didn’t recently increase their pet fee to $25/night per pet.

I stayed here with my senior dog for just one night while passing through, but I wish I'd had longer here! The hotel itself is adorable, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. The rooms are nice and spacious, so I wasn't tripping over my pup the whole time, and there are grassy areas around the hotel for potty breaks. The hotel is in a walkable area and right next to a couple fast food restaurant, plus a short walk to the little town. Will totally stay again any time I come through.

The Homestead was a great stay with lots of grassy areas around the sides and back for the dogs. It appears they have recently redone the rooms and they were really nice as were the bathrooms. And the towels were nicer, whiter and fluffier than any I have seen in roadside hotels and motels in two cross country trips in the past couple of years!! Would go out of my way to stay there again!

Friendly staff, easy room access for our large dog. Contrary to an older review there is a nice green area across the parking lot. Very clean room. Our king bed was very comfy. Most reasonable rate dog friendly accommodations we could find in early October in this area.

First time staying at a Homestead Inn. This one had great location, but the facility was in disrepair in places and the room had no tissue, had a broken coffee maker, and had wrinkled carpeting in an area. Staff was helpful. Dog relief area in back of two storage sheds in almost sagebrush—not good late evening especially.

We chose this location since everything in Billings was extremely overpriced. This was one of the cheaper places that took dogs and we were very impressed with the hotel. The front desk was a little dated and didn’t expect anything from the rooms but when we got to our room, it was really nice. Updated, very very clean and comfortable. Some of the dog friendly rooms we have stayed in across the states in our travels, you can tell are dog friendly with stains, and gross floors and damaged furniture. You would never be able to tell in this room.
The dogs were very happy as were we. Also a decent breakfast in the morning which is included and the from check in staff were friendly and great (Kat). Sue also helped us with parking at the back of the property because we had a trailer and the parking lot was very full, rather than having to park on the street. Only downfall (not of the hotel) was that we got in around 9:45 and nothing in the town was open to eat except McDonalds. Everything seems to close up fairly early (and it was a Saturday). Would recommend 100% to stay again.

Easy location right off the freeway. Not much around. We rolled in at dusk. Didn’t venture out. Gas station across the street and a couple fast food places. The Inn is old and dated. Nothing fancy. Reception was nice and friendly. Room was old, dated and thin walls but it was clean. I did quickly realize its a lot of truckers passing through. There really wasn’t much around to choose from so it did the job, a bed to sleep in and a place to walk the dog.

It’s a Sunday night during a global pandemic. I’m expecting little to no human interaction but that’s far from the experience. We arrive road weary with signs all over “masks required” but the nice woman checking us in wears her’s like a chin warmer ~ honest mistake or shirking the rules? Hard to say but I’m wearing one so there’s that. Fast forward, toilet is running and the handle is loose.. great the chain is off... not worth calling in the front desk but it’s the first annoyance. The double king advertised and “diamond in the rough” review drew us in but that room, while available, wasn’t for us because we brought a dog. The double “queen” (fulls at best) were clean under the covers but the dog sure found interesting smells everywhere. Plus the room was small, like can’t walk past each other small. Next was the sounds, the fast food patrons kept having revving contests in the drive thru, at one point setting off a car alarm in the hotel parking lot. We’re now laying down to sleep and the walls are thin enough that the conversation next door and in the halls is discernible. Morning time comes and the garbage truck backs up the entire length of the parking lot at 5:30am ... about an hour before I’m interested in waking up... but here I am awake and feeling unimpressed by our stay.
