Before 6am a room above us was blasting music so loudly that it woke us up. I tried to call the front desk and the phone wasn't working. So I walked to the front desk, told her which room we were in, and that someone upstairs was playing music very loudly, so loudly we could hear the lyrics to the song through the ceiling and it woke us up. Not 5 minutes later, someone knocked on our door. No one at the peep hole. Then our room phone rings. The woman upstairs calling about the noise complaint, apologizing, said she had also just knocked on the door. When my dogs barked, she hung up immediately.
I called the front desk and asked her why she gave out our room number?! She denied it, and was nasty about it, even though it could have been anyone on either floor, it was that loud. The music was lowered but we could still hear the bass of the music through the floor. At that point, we just packed up to leave. That same woman followed me out to the car! This was very unsafe practices. Not appropriate at all. Don't stay here. We won't be the next time we stay in town.

Stayed here because it was the only hotel in town that accepts pets. My $15 expected pet charge became $30. The hotel smelled heavily of smoke and there was a strong sewage smell coming from the sink. Next time I will just drive to Des Moines. Do not recommend.

Very nice family run motel, a lot cleaner than I thought it would be (because it is a Super 8 and they seem to be a little more run down, usually). Not far from the main road (4 miles), beautiful grassy and tree area for dog walking. Kitten was accepted here too. Hot breakfast. If you are on this stretch of road and all the other places are booked up, this one was a godsend!
