I was visiting home and decided to stay at La Quinta with my dog. There were good spaces to walk my dog when she needed to go out. The staff was excellent! The room was clean. The only issues I had was the spa was out of order and they didn't have any bar soap to put in the room so I had to get my own.

The pet friendly room was directly over the hotel entrance with a window opening into its carport, so all noise & fumes were funneled straight into our room. It was not pet-friendly. It's just a run down hotel in a college town. yuck 😖

Although I'm not certain how new the hotel was but we were not even in the room 5 minutes that the front desk called and asked if everything was as expected. So for on this trip this is the first time it actually happened, the room and service was much, much better than expected. I really do not expect a lot from dog friendly places but here blew my mind away. I do not have facebook or a twitter account so I basically rely on BringFido and Yelp. Also as a beat-up veteran the staff was helpful toward my self and my wife, and Dharma my dog.
