Pleasant staff, but rooms are very small and much too expensive for what you get. Disappointed in our stay there as the other Stone Creek hotels have been excellent!

Me and my Pomeranian Prince Honeybear liked this hotel. It was clean and rooms for dogs are on the first floor in the back. Staff friendly and breakfast was good, with eggs and pancakes and strong coffee.

This was our first stay at Stoney Creek Inn with our pup! Every staff member we came in contact with was very friendly and welcoming! Our room and the entire inn was very clean. Wonderful stay, and we will for sure be coming back again with our pup in the future! Thank you Stoney Creek Inn!

This Inn was a hoot! Here are some reasons why it rocks: 1) very pet friendly 2) the massage chairs are divine (and free!) 3) location is close to town 4) the rustic decor is cozy 4) breakfast included 5) the little bar off the lobby is open late 6) friendly staff 7) workout room 8) pool & hot tub 9) overall pretty clean 10) my dog loved it!

Stoney Creek was a lot cleaner than most dog friendly hotels we have stayed at. Staff was super friendly. Our only complaint is that the key cards and doors randomly wouldn’t work. Could use some small upgrades here and there.

We have stayed at Stoney Creek Inn for our trips to Galena for over five years. During this time they have been a first rate operation. We were very disappointed with our recent stay. We are very much aware of the impact that COVID-19 has made on the hospitality industry, but the conditions found at this facility were very poor. Sanitation and maintenance of the facility were terrible. A couple of the problems noted in our room were: filters on the HVAC unit were plugged, the door on the washroom wouldn’t close properly and the room was extremely dusty. The facility also was not up to their previous standards. I reviewed the issues noted and other problems with the manager. The manager listened and explained the situation they are in, highlighting the lack of personnel. Our position is that if rooms are in unacceptable condition, they should not be provided to customers. No compensation was requested, offered or delivered. We will be looking for alternate lodging in Galena in the future.

It was an OK place to stay. Semi clean (2 socks found in the room), decent sized room, not a great location. The hotel is on the edge of a strip mall so walking options were not great. My dog sniffed out some pee on the corner of the bed and then reclaimed for himself. He never pees inside and had already went but couldn't resist when he smelled that another dog did it. What can you expect though, not a deal breaker. Room was a little pricey but it was good enough for a last minute trip.

Great relaxing stay. The staff loves dogs. Lots of greenspace outdoors to walk your pooch. It's about a mile hike but you could walk your dog into Downtown Galena if you wanted to. Outdoor seating open in most restaurants is also dog friendly for well mannered pooches.
