Dog was welcomed and comfortable. People had a little issue with desk service, so no 5th bone.

They were great about my dog. But the hotel itself needs help. Shower had no water pressure. We booked a double and there was one of everything in the room (1 washrag, 1 small soap, 1 coffee cup). They also charge a $100 deposit, which thankfully was refunded 3 days after checkout. Free breakfast left a lot to be desired. The toaster they supplied has to be 20 years old and only one side worked. Elevator was very sketchy.

When we went to check in, the clerk told us they had our reservation but she couldn’t access our room and it they didn’t have anything else. 45 minutes and four trips to the front desk later, we finally got in to find it hadn’t been cleaned - bedding, garbage and personal items from the previous guest were all there. AWFUL PLACE!

VERY dirty floors, walls, dead insects on windowsills, and only 1/2 of the building cleaned "cuz the housekeepers don't work on Sundays." Food, envelopes and LOTS of dirt/dust behind bedside table, hay (?) on entryway tile Immediately asked clerk for another room which was just as bad. He said Mgr. would be in 1st thing in the AM; he wasn't nor the 4 other times we asked other clerks, even leaving our phone #.
We had a LOT of gear, including a dog & didn't want to pack it all up again...it was 2 nights too long. Very snide male day clerk the next day when we shared our concerns said "then just leave." He too promised Mgr. would call/be in and NO response. We left feeling ignored. NO water, ice, or milk for b'fast, 2 dry cereals in dirty containers. Female employee told me to use mini kitchen where food was prepared & get water from the dirty sink.
A Health Dept Certificate on bulletin board was expired months ago. We only went cuz rating was high. It felt like a ghost town, and we URGE future weary travelers to NOT support this "Wyndham" hotel as they are independently owned. It's all been a huge disappointment so avoid any future hassles by AVOIDING this hotel. We usually submit reviews praising places, this is an exception and La Quinta/Wyndham need to be held accountable.
