The only positive I could say is it’s clean. It appears that transients live there and the place appeared empty in the night shift. Doors propped open for anyone to come in. In the room no charging ports for phones, the batteries dead on the tv remote and no employee to be found. Warning on inside of room door to lock all three locks which tells me there are problems. When I got up in morning to walk my dogs there was a man hiding from me behind a dumpster in the lot. I avoided him and left asap. If I have to go to south bend again I’ll stay at the Hilton. Most of the city is a cesspool and it’s not this hotel's fault. A security officer would help. Not again for this guy.

The room was clean and recently updated. However, there was a strange smell in the room. There was also was a large party happening in the room next to ours, so the room was not very quiet.

My husband and I believe the night help bring their kids along for their shift. Lots of commotion in the hallways & in the pool room though the hotel had few guests.
