  Dog Friendly

  Very accommodating. Large grassy park with playground for kids and walking for dogs right next door. Will stay there again!

  Outdated but friendly staff

  This was our first time using Bring Fido & our first time getting a dog friendly room. The font desk staff were friendly & offered suggestions for food locations. The booking process was very smooth! The room was near the back of the hotel, by a grassy area. Unfortunately there was a lot of litter & pet waste that had not been cleaned up, which made using the area less than ideal. The room itself had several dead bugs on the floor & very stained carpet (with pet odor), but was otherwise clean. It was a very outdated hotel & a bit noisy making it hard for our pup to relax, but served its purpose for an overnight stay. Not exactly a place I would stay more than one night. I would recommend they remove carpet from pet friendly rooms & use linoleum or something similar. Overall we will use BringFido again but will consider a more updated & quiet hotel for comfort over cost.

  Nice place to stay

  It was close to the highway and close to many food options. The park behind was terrific. The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk people were very nice. My only complaint is my fault, not theirs. They had me booked for a room on the back side of the hotel, which would have been much quieter. I asked for a room that I could park close to the door. This put the room in front next to office and so a bit noisy. Again, that was my fault, not the hotel's.

  Satisfying Stay

  Older Days Inn but kept up nicely. Staff was great. We had an issue with the refrigerator and they quickly came and replaced the unit. Good Value for an overnight stay in Hays. I would recommend.

  Right next to large park

  It’s your standard Days Inn, clean but nothing fancy. The standouts of this location is the staff was friendly and the park that butts up against the property is huge and green, and a great place for the pup to walk off a rough day on the road.

  Convenient location

  I only wish there had been interior doors. The parking lot noise distracted our dog at first, causing her to bark a little. She's usually not much of a barker. We didn't want her to disturb other patrons. Everything else was fine!

  Adequate motel

  Relatively small, motel-style room, rather beat up but comfortable. Lots of space behind the motel for the dogs to walk and run. Helpful, friendly staff.

  Hotel is a little old and we had some issues with our room, but for four legged friends lots of good walking space that are well lit, including a huge park behind the hotel.

  Spent 2 nights in quiet comfort

  This hotel/motel is an older one but was a great place to stay with our two pups. Everything was clean and there was plenty of relief area for our pups to walk. Big grassy area connected to a park at the back of the hotel. Front desk was friendly & very helpful.

  Terrific for your canine companion(s)

  This Days Inn was perfect for our two Airedale terriers - the back of the inn has ample open space for dogs to roam with pine trees and plenty of grass. Frontline staff were professional, friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast had something for everyone. Nice outdoor pool. Great location especially if you are staying to see some of the wonderful sites in Colorado Springs. Fort Hays historic site is not far and it is a wonderful place to enjoy with dogs as well as other humans. We would return to this Days Inn.

  Nice Open Space Park Behind Hotel but...

  Nice, large park behind the hotel for our dog Maggie but if human accommodations are important the hotel fell short. Retro in a bad way. Needs serious updating. Hot breakfast (eggs, sausage, coffee) all lukewarm. We were in back close to the park where late arrivals were noisy and kept Maggie on full alert. Not a restful night.

  Great dog space

  The Days Inn in Hays is a bit dog-eared. The bathroom door didn’t close and the upholstery on the chair was worn. However, it was very clean and the dog area behind the hotel is excellent. I wish it was fenced but what a great space! Very courteous staff.

  Pet & People Friendly

  Greeted by super friendly staff, fast check in, when we were on 2nd floor, they moved us to 1st for easier outside access for walking dogs.

  Deteriorating

  Awful. Stains on carpet, broken down beds, and loud pounding construction. 2nd bad stay at Days Inn. Never again.

  Staff was nice and put us in a room next to the grassy pet area. Room wasn’t anything special, but was clean. We would stop here again.

  Basic, but nice staff

  The hotel room all bu itself is not amazing to look at. It’s clean enough, with some obvious hard water stains in the bathroom, and desperately in need of some new paint and maybe some new bathroom fixtures. That said, the beds are comfortable, the air conditioner works perfectly (important in July in Kansas), and the staff could not have been more accommodating. The park behind the hotel is well-maintained. We didn't use the pool, and the grass out the hotel’s back door isn’t the prettiest (but there is a drought on), but for a one night stay, it worked great. It’s not the very best hotel in town, but for an affordable night traveling through, it worked fine.

  Stay at Days Inn in Hays, Kansas

  Just excellent, perfect for those with pets. Large open park just past the pool and parking lot. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was large, pristine and comfortable.

  Worn out and dirty

  Desk clerk was awesome. Carpets stained, fixtures broken and worn out. Lamps broken.Time to close down and renovate. Gross.

  Clean and simple

  Very clean, looked recently remodeled except for the bathroom. Large grassy area behind the motel was perfect for taking the dogs out. Right off the highway! We were here because we got a flat tire and it was more than acceptable for our two 130lb dogs.

  Our room was very pleasant. There was ample space to walk our dog in the park behind the hotel. We would stay there again. The hotel attendants were very pleasant.

  Clean, comfortable, dog friendly

  This is a great place to stay with Fido! The room was very clean (the carpet in particular) and fresh. Bathroom fixtures were older but were clean and not moldy. Staff was welcoming. Nice dog walk area in the back that extends much further than the property.
  I travel to and from St Louis regularly and always arrange my drive to stop here. Decent low priced hotels are hard to find along I 70!

  Good location

  We've stayed there 3 times now on our way between Denver and KC, and the Days Inn was clean and neat, but had broken lamp shades that need to be replaced. They do have a good area to walk the dogs, but they need to make dog poop bags available in the area for clean up. The clerks in the hotel are nice and helpful. They also provide plenty of towels in the double rooms, which wasn't our experience in another motel in the area. Days Inn was more expensive, but worth the extra $15/$20 per night for the cleanliness, etc.

  Meh at best

  The redeeming parts about this hotel is that it's right off the highway, and there is a big park behind the hotel to exercise your dogs. However! I felt very unsafe as there were multiple people that tried to approach me asking for things as I was trying to walk my dogs. Also, the walls are thin, beds uncomfortable, and you can tell the renovation was hastily done.

  Very Friendly And Great For Dogs!

  We had a perfect stay here. The room was small and a bit older, but it was very comfy. There is a nice park behind the hotel with a waking trail, which was great for my dogs. Convenient off the interstate, too! Friendly staff. I enjoyed it and my puppies were happy there.
