The entire hotel had a strange smell to it. My room in particular had a smell of taxi cab pine tree air fresheners. The hotel needs some TLC for sure. It looks like they went through a refresh not long ago, but all that was done was adding new TVs and furniture, but never fixed messed up walls where it looked like water leaked through. Like I said, just ok. I probably wouldn’t stay there again as there are better hotels in the area.

The gentleman at the front desk was very accommodating and helpful in every respect. He deserves a raise! The big negative for us was the coffee. It was too damn hot. My top lip is blistered and my to tongue is burned. There was also a lot of night noise in Rm 201 during the night. Sounded like heating or water pipes internally. Made sleeping tough.

The hotel was OK. Grounds were messy. Room needs soundproofing. Renovations seemed to be an amateurs low cost DIY project. Cleanliness was adequate, but not what I'm used to with this chain. Breakfast was very good. I sympathize with hotel owners trying to improve an older property like this one, but this hotel needs some work. However, the price was good, they allowed dogs, and they had a king size bed. Met minimum requirements.

La Quinta is sometimes a great choice but this one was really pretty bad. The halls & room were smelly & dirty. It’s not the hotel’s fault but there were a lot of loud residents that could be heard from the halls. The guy next door was angry, ranting & raving so loudly, I was a little worried about my safety. And having to pay an additional $30 for 2 small, older poodles is ridiculous.

And stay here :) Best hotel experience I've ever had with my 13 yr old Min Pin. I'm a 54 yr old woman and traveled with my 79 yr old mom, we're old picky, and tired. This place made us feel relaxed happy and rested!

La Quinta’s are known to be a decent travel place to stay while traveling with your pet and most are comfortable. This one was TERRIBLE! The 2nd worst (Reno was 1st) La Quinta I’ve stayed in. Dirty, smelled, you could hear the person upstairs going to the bathroom while laying in bed, mechanical noises in the hallway at 1am. The worst!! Plus…this one wants to charge you $15 pet fee while other La Quinta’s have no pet fee.

They put us right by a door on the first floor so it was super convenient to take the pup out for walks! No problems at all. Hotel is right off the highway so it’s the perfect road trip stop. Would definitely stay there again!

When we arrived and saw how rundown and gross it was, we tried to find another hotel nearby. We were stuck here. We stayed out as long as we could and just came back to go to sleep. The pictures look like they were taken years ago. No carpets in any rooms, the upkeep is very sloppy with paint on the floors and doors, water damage on the bottom of the doors, the bathroom was not clean. The pool looked like it was a black lagoon. The key card reader to enter was broken and anyone could enter. Debris and cracked driveways and sidewalks. No place to walk the dog really. Disgusting. Do not stay!

Pros: super cheap. No pet fee. Big dogs ok as well as more than one. Close to several well know BBQ restaurants. The suite room is enormous so my lab could play and move around without destroying anything. We got be of the renovated rooms which was nice.
Cons: no dedicated dog area. The strip of grass is on a busy street and littered by passers by throwing out food items and trash. The back of the hotel has a lot of construction debris and discarded items like toilets and cabinetry. Typical with construction dust and crap gets everywhere making common areas look dirty.
It’s during COVID so probably worse than it would normally be. Still is stay here again.

We were all comfortable & well cared for! Price was below average (don’t let that scare you). Clean, quiet, good breakfast & professional staff! Got a wonderful restaurant suggestion from the front desk staff!

Always nice staying at La Quinta. I go nowhere else these days. They accept my 3 big dogs every time and treat me like a 5 star hotel always. Normally I bring my own shampoo and conditioner so it’s not a problem, but they usually don’t have conditioner so heads up! But their tub is big so if your dog rolls around in mud like mine and you need to rinse him off you can :) it’s a great place to stay!

The front desk staff is friendly. I request first floor. If you have barkers like I do, bring a fan. Because of the way the hotel is set up, the noises really travel and my pups have a restless night if I forget to bring a fan. Free breakfast (very basic continental). Rooms are clean.
