We really liked the location across from the River Walk. The hotel had a great list of places to eat. The lobby was very nice - loved the waterfall feature! An extra shout out to the friendly staff in the restaurant area and the excellent breakfast!

Room was nice. It was clean and quiet. I liked the room a lot. The only thing I didn’t love was the parking across the street in the parking garage and limited access to potty areas. They lock the back door at night that goes out to the grass so u have to go out the front door across 4 lane street to a dark little park area or around a very dark corner (that seemed a little sketchy at first but ended up being ok) to the grass in the back. It’s not ideal if you have a pup that needs to potty at 11pm. Considering the downtown location though, it seemed pretty safe.

The only ‘negatives’ to this hotel was that there wasn’t any ground floor rooms & (because of their multi-night stay covid policies) trash and towels were in the hallway. Easy location, parking garage, elevators that moved pretty quickly, pool that’s open from 7am-11pm daily, a hot breakfast with SO MANY OPTIONS, and…. A HUGE FIELD for the pups to be walked in right behind the hotel. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again and it’s very close to the Buffalo Trace Distillery (which is also dog friendly)!

The pet floor is a former smoking floor- as recent as a year ago, according to the front desk. The first room we had smelled strongly of smoke covered by deodorizer. The nice woman at the front desk was kind enough to switch us to another room a few doors down that didn’t smell quite as bad. I think it’s also important to mention that a portion of this hotel currently serves as dorms to KSU students. With pet deposit our one night reservation was $196, which I think is high.

There was no where to walk my dog, except for a non lighted park across the street ( the street was a 4 lane highway type) or a small patch of grass across another street, next to the off site parking structure. As a woman traveling alone, these were not options after dark. I was not happy at all. I would NOT recommend staying here especially if you are traveling alone.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. There were no problems bringing our dog. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was hot with several options to choose from.
