Room had paint coming off the ceiling but bed was comfortable and our dog was accepted nicely

        No, thank you

I really don't want to have to leave a negative review but this place is not clean!

I understand that you have "pet rooms" but the room they put us in reeked of stale urine. I opened the door, got a whiff of it, turned around and walked out.

The man at the front desk was able to move us to another room. This one smelled of air freshener/grandma's perfume so I was able to convince myself that it was ok and clean. As the air freshener faded, a slight smell of urine started creeping in, but not nearly as bad as the other room. Now, it's nearly midnight and I feel rude making a fuss and requesting a third room so I'm just going to stay.

And it's not just the smell. There are black stains on the sheets and hair in the bathroom (not mine). I just can't convince myself that this place is clean, but I've been driving all day and I'm tired and have to do more driving tomorrow.

I'm giving 2 bones because the room is quiet and the bed is comfortable, but I won't stay here again and I don't recommend you do either.

        Would not stay again

The hotel location is great. Near a gas station, highway, and Cracker Barrel.
This is the worst La Quinta I have ever stayed in. The hotel needs major rennovations. The front desk staff was the best part of the hotel. I feel like this used to be a hotel for chain smokers for decades. The carpets need to be changed. The whole bathroom smelled like an ashtray. I sank into the middle of the King sized bed. When I arrived, there was already food in my fridge. The linen was old. The recliner was ancient.
Only stay here if this is your last option.

        Good Stop Over

While the rooms could use an upgrade, it’s great for a stop over. The staff was very considerate and gave us a room in the back right next to a door, great for 2 dogs.
Good continental breakfast, bagels, waffles, coffee, muffins.
Rather quiet for a dog friendly hotel :)
Lots of grass for potty breaks.

        Not likely to stay again

Booked because of the price and no pet fee and regret it. The room was not very clean and was on the end of the hotel that had no grass for my dog. Loud air system and no elevator. Next time I will spend some extra money and stay elsewhere.

        Don't believe the ratings.

Pictures were nice and reviews were nice and we had stayed in La Quinta in other locations before so we booked an overnight stay for my wife and I taking our 10 years old blind lap dog with us. They charged us $125+ for a room that was stinky, had a window that opened to a concrete wall, had two hand towels and two bath towels, small itcy bitcy tv and just about nothing else. The carpets seemed clean but the bed was not comfortable and pillows were a disaster. We didn't get much sleep because of the odor and the very noisy ac unit in addition to frequent banging noise coming from a mechanical room adjacent to our room. We did ask to be assigned a different room but we were told that they don't have any other designated "dog rooms" left. Basically we paid $125+ to stay in a gog house. Avoid this place if you can help it.

        Nice for a stopover

This is a nice La Quinta on the eastern outskirts of Lexington. Nothing luxurious, but no complaints at all. Very clean. Breakfast was the usual fare. Located within walking distance of a Cracker Barrel and a Waffle House. Fitness room had about 10 pieces.

        Stop over

My family and I stopped here to break up a long drive. Our room was nice and clean, except for a little mold in the bathroom. The staff were quite nice and there were restaurants nearby for dinner. Breakfast was complimentary and good as well.
