You get what you pay for

Staff was less than engaging and room (handicap accessible) was filthy. Not sure when the last time the floors were mopped.

        A couple of problems

After a great experience at a Red Roof Inn in Fairmont, WV, I got to Lexington prepared for another pleasant stay. Not so much. First of all, when I asked for a groundfloor room, Mary spent a few minutes shuffling papers but then said there were none clean (it was 5:15). I said I'd wait, but she said, after shuffling some papers, and giving me the only smile I saw in my 20 minutes with her, "Sorry, we just don't have one." I wasn't ready to move to another motel, so I said okay. However, when I got to my room, which was as well-appointed and clean as the one the night before, I'm happy to say, there was no refrigerator and microwave. I had spent some time leaning on the counter waiting for Mary and reading the information there about the level of rooms, and it definitely said that a room with two beds DID come with fridge and microwave. So I called Mary to point out the error; her response was that I had the Standard 2-bed room. I should have asked for the Deluxe 2-bed room if I wanted those amenities. Yeah, right. Also the light in theb bathroom was a little quirky--it comes on if you are okay with waiting a few seconds. Oh well-----it was a good price and my dog is happy (though her wet food will not be refrigerated tonight, I'm sorry to say.

        typical dog hotel

This is one of those hotels that has the door open to the outside, so it was convenient to the car and you don't have to take your dog down hallways. The room had wood floors and the usual amenities. There were grass yards nearby. The bed is right next to the window air conditioner so if you like direct air on you, you'll get it.

        Its a place to stay

I first read the reviews and was sure this was the place to stay. We got there and the clerk's personality was fairly flat. We checked in and the found the room spartan at best. Because we booked through a 3rd party I assume we were given the room for people with disabilities. The bathroom was poorly updated and the water that escaped the shower curtain had peeled the paint from the wall. We had a small fridge with a tiny microwave stacked on top. The bed wasn't comfortable and the room smelled of stale smoke. We should have asked for a new room but didn't and that's on us. Not much space to walk the dog and if given a room facing the parking lot you get significant noise from people checking in late. If you aren't concerned about comfort and just want a cheap place on your way through the city book here because it's "a" place to stay.

        Clean and comfortable

The room was clean and comfortable with room to walk our lab around the hotel. The parking lot was busy until late that night, though it was weeknight and the air conditioner unit would not run on fan only. Since it was too cool for air conditioning and too warm for heat, also known as "perfect," we had to sleep with the tv on to block the parking lot noise and avoid the periodic ferocious bark. The parking lot noise would not have been a problem otherwise, but it was our first night on the road and our dog was a little keyed up about the new surroundings. It was just a small problem that we would not have noticed if not for the dog.

        Noisy Room

The room was clean. LOTS of room to walk and run dogs around the property. Window Air unit kept cycling on/off, frig in room ran and toilet ran not allowing for a good night's sleep.

        Red Roof, Lexington

Nothing fancy, but suited us fine. Great value for the price. A little dated, but very clean and the people were very friendly. Check in was smooth. Our tv didn't work properly and they were quick to resolve the problem.

        Good Deal

Clean room, friendly staff. Lots of people with dogs staying there. Not a fancy place but it was tidy and had no bad smells. The bedding and furniture looked new. Easy to get to off the Interstate. We will stay there again if visiting the area in the future.

This place was excellent. It was clean, friendly and convenient. This was the 3rd stop on our vacation and we were pleasantly surprised.

        Very kind staff

Room smelled nice. Staff was very kind to us and our dog. They were very friendly. We needed an extra pillow and they got right on it and came to our room with one with a smile and "I'm sorry for your wait. Is there anything else we can get you?" We liked the rate for what we got. Beds were comfortable too. I loved the pillows.

        It does the trick...

Its not the fanciest hotel, but it was clean, the staff was friendly and our dog was welcome. It was convenient to food, gas stations and the expressway. Great for an overnight stay on the way to our destination :)

        Good deal

Just as advertised by BringFido. Comfortable, clean, and easy to walk the dogs. Not a lot of perks, but just the right place for an overnight stay along the way.

        Great for the price!!

We are a military family traveling from NC to ID with 2 kids, 3 dogs, and 3 cats. When we showed up we just told them we had dogs.. Not how many.. I just said "dogs". She said ok. Got us our room.. Right next to I-64, clean, stink free, and less than $60 a night.. I would recommend this to anyone traveling on a budget with kids and a zoo....

        Red Roof Lexington

The motel was newly renovated as stated. The room was very very nice. Plenty of open areas to walk the dog. It was quite.
When I checked the staff was friendly and asked all about my dog. No hidden charges and fee coffee.
Close to a little Stop & Shop and one short exit from many restaurants. It was perfect.
